The next day started with a gorgeous sunrise. Clark was on the roof, thinking about the upcoming wedding when he noticed that the sunrise had begun. It was beautiful, and made him think of Bruce, because Bruce was beautiful too.
What would they wear? When exactly should they have the wedding? Will he cry when he sees Bruce walk down the aisle? He is so lost in thought he doesn't notice his phone going off for a few minutes. And then he finally registers the cute little ring tone he set for Bruce.
"Hello? Sorry! I'm on the roof, I got distracted!" He spoke a bit fast, embarrassed about having spaced out. Bruce's warm chuckle soothes his panic and he smiles as he flies down. "Why'd you call? Are you looking for me?" He pouts a bit when Bruce answers.
"No, sorry sweetheart, I was just letting you know Dick and I are doing some wedding planning. I'll be gone for lunch."
This immediately makes him perk up and he grins. So excited to finally marry his adorable bat. "Oh! Okay! Have fun!! I love you!" Bruce returns the sentiment with a heartfelt,"I love you more.".Bruce and Dick are sitting in a cute French themed cafe, each with a notebook and wedding magazine, as they discuss wedding plans. "I think Jason would adore this." Bruce points at a wonder woman themed set of cufflinks. Dick grins and adds that to the Must Buy part of the list.
Bruce contemplates a list of venues before gasping softly. "Dick, what do you think Clark would think about getting married near his parents place? Like a small private wedding at this cute little church?" He turns around his phone and shows the basically empty google result for the church he knew the Kent's got married in. There are a few gorgeous pictures though, and it looks just perfect.
Dick puts his hand on his heart, "That is too sweet!! Clark would absolutely cry!" Bruce decides to ask Clark tonight, excited beyond belief.
Dick is clearly mulling something over, "Dad? Do you think, if Jason agrees, that we could get married at the Manor?" He seems hesitant, the manor is special to him and he is worried for some reason that it'll be a ridiculous request. But Bruce smiles and nods.
"Its your family home too Dick, of course you can have your wedding there. Now we just need to pick some dates!"
"Well a spring wedding would be great for you Bruce, how about April? The flowers should be out in full force by then so you'll get some great pics near the church and you won't be too warm or cold." Bruce contemplates it and makes a note to ask Clark about it.
"Maybe. A winter wedding would be great at the Manor. You two could get ice sculptures and use a frosty blue and white theme." Dick thinks about it.All in all they each made a large list of thinks to ask their separate partners about, and scheduled catering and decoration consultations with some companies.
They're about to part ways when Dick grabs Bruce and hauls him over to a bridal shop. "I want to try on a dress! Just for fun.." He grins and makes begging eyes. Bruce sighs and ushers him towards the door. "Alright."
Dick heads over to look at dresses and Bruce persuades the owners with a little money to let Dick try on dresses without an appointment. Dick picks up a regency type dress with a simple empire waist and heads into the dressing room. He comes out shyly,"I dont think I actually want a dress but you don't exactly get to check out fun options with suits." He twirls for a moment and laughs, before going to change back. Bruce thinks for a moment before pulling out his phone. "Let me call my suit designer."
As Bruce calls he hears Dick squeal with delight. As soon as he's scheduled an appointment to see his designer, he turns to see what Dick found. A simple, circlet made of silver. He wore it like an elvish prince. And Bruce didn't hesitate to buy it for him.
"Brides aren't the only ones who get to wear crowns for their wedding." He smiles and ruffles Dicks hair.
