Lois swept the happy couple up in a hug that rivaled Clark's super bear hugs. Aunt Lois, as she had deemed herself, was there to write an article about the lavish wedding reception, and to scope any juicy info from the A-listers in attendance. That didn't mean she wasn't excited to celebrate the lovebirds,  after releasing them she hands Jason a small box. "I know, super rich don't need gifts, but I saw these and thought of you two. I had to have them repainted, but it seemed like a cute good luck charm for when you 'work'." She winks playfully.

Unraveling the shiny bow the two peered inside, laying on the cotton is a set of necklaces. The two figures are magnetic, appearing to hold hands. Previously a tiny set of grooms, one is painted with a blue design like Nightwings suit on his tux, and the other has a tiny red helmet painted over his face.

Dick squeaks, immediately cradling the tiny Redhood in his hands. Before he can say anything to Lois, a surge of guests arrive. And as good hosts, they had to greet them as they entered the extravagantly prepared ballroom.

A beautiful cake sits centered, for the photographers to take the best cake cutting photos, and intricate ice sculptures of swans sparkle in strategic places around the room. It lends an aura of magic, like an ice palace.

Many guests stop in awe as they enter, handshakes given to the couple like a dazed afterthought. Bruce beams, pride and joy making his eyes glisten. Clark stands by his side, trying to casually shoo Lois away when she notices his hand on his stomach a few times too many.

Swooping to his rescue, Conner takes Lois by the arm and under the pretense of showing her where the drinks are, points out several juicy conversations he hears around the room.

Looking around you can see Raven and Damien in matching black, hers a subtle gown and his an impeccable tuxedo. They hover in a corner, alert out of habit and antisocial on principle.

Tim is searching for Conner, having lost him when he stopped to snag a flute of sparkling cider for each of them. Alfred is sitting quietly, but those who know him, they can tell he is exhausted from the wedding preparation he had been working nonstop on for weeks.

The gift table in the corner is piled high with shining wrapped gifts, elegant gift bags with intricate bows and tufts of tissue paper peeking out, and cards. The music, while a subtle background noise, ties the atmosphere together like a ribbon.

Everything is perfect.

With a gentle tap to his champagne flute, Bruce gathers the attention of the room.

At that cue, Dick and Jason pose with the cake. Many cameras go off, but the best pictures are undoubtedly taken by their hired photographer. They cut it together, and feed each other cute little bites of cake. And then they head to their table, the cake rolled away to be cut and served to guests. Everyone heads to the tables placed around the room, watching as Bruce stands and accepts a microphone from a staff member. He turns to speak, a subtle spotlight on him.

"Thank you all for being here today to celebrate my boys! I could not be prouder of the men they have grown into, and I am eternally grateful that I have been able to be a part of their lives. Dick, when I adopted you I never could have expected the smart and kind man you would one day be. But I knew since I saw you swinging on the chandelier in the main hall that you were undoubtedly special." This elicits chuckles from the crowd, Dick laughing while subtly wiping sentimental tears from his eyes.

"And Jason, my troublemaker. I am so glad you came back to us. You have always been passionate and dedicated to the things you care about, and I can see that same dedication and passion in your relationship with Dick. No matter how we argued in your youth, I am so deeply appreciative for every year I get to be your father. I hope for nothing less than the best for you two. My gift is a wedding portrait of you two I commissioned, it will hang in the manor beside mother and father's wedding portrait. I love you both very much!"

Cheers and clapping erupt, and Dick openly weeps, smiling so brightly all the while. Jason stands to hug Bruce, his voice cracking slightly as he manages to tell him he loves him too.

Next Wally stands, spotlight shifting to him, "To my best friend! A titan amongst men." Trying to manage a civilian-appropriate toast was much harder than Wally thought when offered the chance. But he did manage one titan pun, and despite Dick's eye-roll, he felt satisfied with it. "From a scrawny dork in his dad's shadow to a man in his own right, you have grown and grown on me. Jason, you're still weird, but it balances Dick's weird, so as long as you make him happy, you'll find a friend in me. Congratulations!"

Finally, Roy stands, "Jason, I have struggled by your side and watched you grow from an angry boy into a mature man. A feat I never thought possible." Jason laughs softly, nodding. "I never expected you to marry the goodiest of goody two shoes with the bad boy reputation you worked so hard to cultivate." Roy rolls his eyes, smiling, and raises his glass. "But I hope you are both happy, and I call dibs on being god father to any kids you have. Cheers!"

With that, a cheer erupts, everyone raising their glass in a toast. Then dinner is served.

There was a cornish game hen option, a salmon option, and a vegan pasta and mushroom steak option. For once Alfred didn't fight being served, relaxing at the wedding party table.

And after a quiet meal, guests chatting and cameras occasionally clicking, it was time for dances.

First that father-sons dance. It was a light instrumental, as none of them could agree on a song. Bruce takes Dicks hand, and Alfred takes Jason's, and they dance, managing a lovely choreographer spin where they trade partners. Now Alfred and Dick dance, and Bruce and Jason dance. Finally they all join hands, Bruce holding Jason's hand in his left and Dick's hand in his right. Alfred between the two. They spin, breaking the tension of public dancing with their silly routine.

After they stumble to a halt, hugging and wiping a few stray tears, I belong to you starts.

Jason takes Dick in his arms, one hand holding his and the other splayed across his lower back to hold him close. Dick reaches up, stroking Jason's cheek and giving him a coy smile before resting his hand on his broad shoulder. They sway, not noticing the camera flashes. They are transfixed, unable to break eye contact.

Then Jason spins Dick, dipping him gently and pressing a light kiss to his lips. Pulling him upright, chest to chest, his breath hitches in his throat.

His husband is so beautiful.

Dick's cheeks are dusted with a faint blush, eyes sparkling, and looking up at him through long lashes in a way that makes arousal pool in his stomach.

Dick feels the same creeping warmth when Jason effortlessly twirls him around the dance floor. Jason's strength, the way his sharp smile glints mischievously in the light, and the smoldering need in his eyes make Dick feel weak in the knees.

Leaning his head on Jason's shoulder, Dick notices that a different song has been playing for a while and they are surrounded by other dancers. So caught up in each other, the two hadn't even noticed.

They can see Connor clumsily letting Tim lead him through the dance. Damien and Raven have long since slipped away, teenage hormones or boredom leading them off. Alfred is a little tipsy, his tie loosened and face flushed slightly as he regales a handsome older woman with stories from his youth.

And Bruce and Clark are spinning, as light on their feet as if they are flying. Dick feels fondness for his new soon to be officially stepfather grow when he thinks of how often he's caught him carrying Bruce through the sky in the same simple dance.
