My ribs were cracked, my soul trembling along with my body, a black line of thick red blood running down my chin. I glared up into the bright blue eye shining down at me, Nightmare's thick black tentacle still gripping my broken chest. He was shaking from anger, I didn't know why it made him this mad, but that's not exactly for me to know...
"She. Is. Mine. Got that?" He growled roughly.
I looked up at him a just grinned a little. "Hah. S-sure pal." I laughed, feeling his tentacle tighten around my ribs.
I closed my eyes, feeling my HP at a dangerously low level. Kills gasped when another one of my ribs cracked and I screamed. Dust and Horror stood there, shocked and watching Nightmare squeeze the life out of me.
"S-STOP IT!" Kills grabbed Nightmare by the hood and pulled him to face away from me, tears forming on the edges of her eyes.
"Excuse me?" Nightmare asked a little bit surprised she said anything.
"S-STOP HURTING HIM....p-please!" She cried while falling to her knees, Nightmare catching her and hugging her while she sobbed, not returning his affection.
"Fine." He grumbled softly.
I felt pieces of my ribs shift in my shirt, knowing that they were shattered beyond full repair. I looked over, locking eyes with a trembling Cross, sitting in the corner with the section of cracked wall behind him. He looked back at me, the cut under his eye bleeding and even more blood running down wherever I could see his bones. I felt bad, Nightmare had been mad at me for loving Kills, and because of that Cross had gotten hurt protecting both of us. Gladly Nightmare didn't hurt him too bad. I glanced up and saw Nightmare gone, Kills immediately coming to my side and holding my face.
"K-Killer?! P-please tell me you're ok!" She sobbed softly.
I coughed softly and reached up, giving her wrist a little squeeze. She sighed softly, mumbling quietly "oh thank goodness" and then leaning close and kissing my forehead, crying still. I knew the circumstances were weird, but I smiled from the soft kiss she planted on my forehead. I reached up higher and rested my hand against her cheek, sighing softly and just happy she was ok. I flinched as I felt some kind of magic shoot through my ribs, I gasped and yelped softly but then looked up and saw her eyes staring deep into mine, two small blue pupils glowing softly as she healed me. I closed my eyes and let it happen, feeling the warmth of the magic coming from her hands cradling my cheeks and spreading through my body. I didn't know what to do, but I'm not letting Nightmare claim her under my watch. She doesn't belong to anyone...she says I'm her's and...that she's mine, but she's not some kind of object to win or steal.
