I picked at the hem of my skirt and looked around the steak ranch style restaurant, it's the kind of place I love to eat at but barely get to because most people don't wanna wolf down a couple steaks with a girl that eats like a pig.

I'm meeting Eric for lunch.

He showed up ten minutes late but that's typical of guys so I didn't act like it was a big deal.

'Hey man.' I smiled up at him.

'Ronny, looking good babe.'

I rolled my eyes, 'How many times have I told you not to call me that idiot?'

'Three or four times.'

I sighed and stuck out my tongue at him smacking Eric with the menu.

'Geez, violent much?'

'Duh, oh, I ordered the house favorite it's porter house steak and roast potatoes with sour cream. Do you mind?'

'Nah, sounds good. You sure you can eat that much?'

'Watch me.'

He laughed and leaned back against his seat, 'So, I was a little surprised when you said you wanted to have lunch, is my incessant flirting finally working?'

'In your dreams Eric.'

'Yes you are.'

I couldn't help laughing, 'Shut up I'm trying to ask a favor.'

'Okay, okay, I'm done.'

'I know the races are invite only and I was wondering if you'd get me in.'

'I thought Michael was bringing you.'

'He changed his mind and doesn't want me to get into trouble.' I said in a sour voice.

'You sure you wanna go against him?'

'He doesn't have the right to control what I do so I'm going... if you tell me when and where.'

He grinned, 'Anything to piss off Michael.'

'Thanks Eric.'

A waitress brought two huge plates of steak to us, they were steaming and smelt delirious.

'Damn, this looks good.' I smirked and sliced off a piece of steak. Amazing.

'Hey so, you still driving the convertible mini?' He asked through a mouthful of potato.

'It's in parked in the college garages right now because I'm driving my new car.' I grinned, 'It's a red McLaren 650S.'

'Shit, V12 and turbo charged. That's a fast car, hey!' he suddenly got excited, 'Want me to add you to the roster?'

'Roster?'

'For the races, you in?'

'You think I can race?' I raised an eyebrow.

'I watched you drive remember, I think you can make some serious dough.'

'I don't really need the money.' I mumbled.

'Yeah but wouldn't it be nice to know you can make your own money instead of living off Daddy your entire life.'

'Okay, I'm in.'

He smirked, 'Then I'll see you tomorrow night, same place.'

'Got it.'

I sat in the back of my classes silently ignoring everyone and trying to pretend Michael wasn't in my classes, honestly trying to pretend he was invisible.

It was almost impossible considering the fact that he kept trying to talk to me. Those two classes couldn't have been longer but the worst part was our break between classes. I had to hide in the library since it's the only place Michael would never look.

I got to watch him walk all over the campus searching for me from the library's window.

Emily was pissed when she eventually found me in our room after class, I guess I tuned her out as well and William must have felt a little ignored too. Oops.

'Are you planning on telling me what's been going on with you? You've been acting weird ever since you decided to drive back from your place alone.'

'I'm sorry I blocked you out, I really didn't mean to.'

'You're being kinda horrible to Michael too.'

'Michael's an ass.' I muttered without thinking.

'Huh? Why do you say that?'

'It's nothing.'

'Yeah right, just don't kill him. He's Willy's best friend so don't make my man sad.'

I rolled my eyes, 'I knew you liked him.'

'Shut up, didn't you say you had to go somewhere? I mean if you wanna go out in your sweats fine...'

'Right, gotta change. Can I borrow your dark blue skinny jeans?'

She threw them at me, 'No problem, did you forget to wash your stuff again?'

'Maybe.' I said struggling into the jeans, they're hard to get on but super comfortable and look good.

'Of course, here, wear this with them.' She held up my red yoga top that cut off just below my breasts and had elastic around the hem.

'Too much skin for where I'm going.'

'How's this then?' Emily held up a black tank top that I'd cut shorter because it got burnt. The cut was jiggered, messing and just showed my belly button.

'Yeah, perfect it'll show off my belly ring.'

I headed to my jewellery box, an old jam container, and pulled out a small silver ring to slip into my belly button. Putting some tiny diamond studs on my ears and borrowed Emily's ruby lipstick.

'Take your leather jacket.'

I grabbed the jacket remembering that Michael gave it to me but it'll be warm so screw it. The drive down to the races doesn't take so long when you put it in a GPS and follow a quicker rout through town instead of taking the out roads. I think that Michael was trying to spook me by going all over the place, didn't work too well.

I pulled up to the group of cars and quickly found Eric's Astern Martin, parking next to him I got out and unzipped my jacket.

'Hey little thing, you look a little lost.' A guy with black hair and a lip ring said.

'No, I'm fine.'

'You're not a regular girl, what're you doing here.' I don't like all this guy asking questions.

'I'm with Eric now get lost.'

He raised an eyebrow but stopped, I walked straight past him to were a group of people stood making bets, Eric was among him so I tapped his shoulder.

'Hey.'

He turned and smiled when he saw me. I wasn't expecting him to lift me up and spin around, I instinctively wrapped my arms around him neck and clenched my muscles.

'Put me down you impertinent asshole.'

'Geez, big words and insults. Having a good night?'

'Oh brilliant,' I answered in a dry voice.
