Tuesday
I got to sleep in until noon thanks to the fact that no one woke me up screaming and it turned out most of the other pledges did the same. We were supposed to eat at the same table as yesterday so when I got down to the kitchen I almost burst into tears.
'Did they pick our breakfast again!?' I asked the red headed girl, I need to learn her name!
'No and that's lunch.'
Oh dear lord.
'Damn, oh I'm Ronny by the way.'
'Lauren.'
I nodded and looked around the table, half a grape fruit is not lunch. Neither is a bottle of water or a single sliced tomato. I grabbed some toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and more bacon.
Sitting down some of the girls eyed my plate with jealousy.
'Want some bacon?' I asked the girl next to me.
The next thing I knew I was sharing my breakfast with four other girls and making some fast friends the other girls refused to eat carbs and said I was corrupting their diets.
Well okay.
'Hey BITCHES!' Oh god it's the monster from the black lagoon. 'GET YOUR SWIMMING COSTUMES ON AND BE IN THE BACK YARD IN TEN!'
I stuffed some bacon in my mouth and ran upstairs to slip into my dark blue one piece, Emily was already there tying the strings on her white bikini.
'What do you think they'll do to us now?'
I shrugged, 'Who knows.'
'Let's go, maybe there'll be hot guys.'
She looped her arm through mine and dragged me downstairs without letting me answer her. The house had a medium sized back yard covered in green grass and surrounded by a high wall.
'Get in a line.'
We did as Regina instructed and then some of the upper class-men blind folded us, Emily hung onto my hand the whole time trembling.
'Stay where you are.' Regina ordered before I heard a splat followed by a girlish squeal.
'Wha-' I was cut off as something hit my arm and broke, slimy gunk dripped down my arm.
Another hit my bare thigh and then one exploded on the back of my head oozing through my hair. Eggs, the only thing it could be is eggs.
They pelted us with a few more eggs before I heard a voice next to my ear, Regina.
'You'll never survive here little bitch, you're not a girl, you're a nothing.'
I don't know why but her words made me shiver, maybe it was the cold egg covering my body. Emily was still holding my hand when the blindfold was roughly tugged off and the sunlight made me squint.
'Is it over?' Emily whispered.
'I think so, the other girls are going inside. Let's go shower.'
'I feel gross.'
'Yeah well at least they didn't get it in your hair.' I grumbled.
'You can have first shower then.'
I crushed her in a hug, 'I think I love you.'
'You're getting more egg on me!'
'Never thought I'd hear someone say that to me.' I joked and headed up to the shower so I could get rid of this gunk.
I love showers but this was just horrible, the egg-y slime ran down my body with the water and matted it's self in my hair making it almost impossible to get loose without painfully tugging. By the time I was done. I tried being as quick as possible so Emily could get into our shared shower.
