Andy's pov: About two weeks had passed. Maya gave me two weeks off because my morning sickness went on all day. Thank goodness it was almost gone so today was my first day back. Even so, I still vomited at the smell of coffee. I had not yet discussed with Robert whether I could be there on missions. He woke me up with a kiss and sat on the edge of the bed. "How are you today honey?" He smoothed my hair. "Thank you, yes it's okay. I'm ready to go back to work," I sat up. "When do we have the appointment with Carina", he followed me into the bathroom where I was washing my face with cold water: "I don't know anymore", that was clearly my pregnancy brain, because I could always remember things like that very well . "Okay, I'll check our calendar, we're leaving in half an hour," he kissed me and closed the door so that I can take a relaxed shower. Exactly half an hour later we were in the car and drove to the station. He took my hand. It was a small gesture, but I was so hormonal that I started crying. I looked out the window quickly so that Robert wouldn't see. "When do you actually want to tell your father, he is the only one who is still in the dark". "I just want to make sure that our baby is healthy first, then I'll tell him immediately, or he'll find out at some point anyway". "Okay, but I don't want to be the one who is the 'bad' parent just because your dad is mad at us again," he laughed and drove into the station's parking lot, then we got out.

Maya's pov:
I had a lot of paperwork to do again, so I was very busy for today, that didn't mean any big assignments for me. For a few days now I've known that being a captain is not necessarily the best. But I didn't mean to complain. Then there was a knock at the door. "Come in," I said, looking up. Sullivan closed the door as soon as he was back inside. "Hey what's up? Do you miss your old office?" I laughed. "No, it's not. I came to talk to you about Herrera," he sat down on one of the chairs in front of the desk. "What about Andy?" "I think she shouldn't go on missions anymore. It'll be too dangerous." "She is no longer sent on missions with fire, but she is allowed to drive an ambulance. And that is her decision whether she wants that". "Okay, well. Maybe you will talk to her sometime, with the best of pleasure?" "I will". "Okay, thank you, I'll be on duty, see you later," and he was gone again. I knew Andy wouldn't like it when she found out about it.

Andy's pov:
I sat at the table in the kitchen and started eating my cereal. Travis came in, grabbed his coffee and sat across the street, then inspected me carefully. I tried to ignore him but that didn't quite work. "Travis, WHAT IS?" I said annoyed and stopped eating. "So it's true," he still gave me a funny look. "What do you mean", I got impatient. "You have a pregnancy glow". "There is no such nonsense," I rolled my eyes. "Oh yes, you really shine," he laughed. "You can not be serious". "Sorry," he had to keep from laughing even more. "Go out", I pointed to the door and noticed how angry I was: "And fuck off with your coffee, it stinks". Travis was really scared now, so he'd rather go out of the kitchen and I could finish my cereal in peace. Then there was an alarm for all units about a major fire. I jumped up and ran into the hall. Everyone else was so busy that they didn't notice that I was getting ready too. I got into the ambulance with Maya and we all drove downtown.

20 minutes later...

Andy's pov:
It was a mess, the house we arrived in front of was completely on fire. Station 23 tried to extinguish and contain the fire. "Station 19, there are still people in the house. They have to be rescued, we suspect 4 people," Chief Ripley stood by with a megaphone and gave instructions. We got out and got our stuff out of the car. "Andy, what are you doing here", Robert gave me a startled look. "Work, what else?" I was about to run towards the house when he held my hand and looked into my eyes: "Believe me, we can do it. Get to safety, you can take care of the injured, but please keep a distance of at least 10 meters to that fire, okay, "he looked deep into my eyes. "All right, take care of yourself", I pulled down my breathing mask. "Warren and Miller, you help with the extinguishing. Sullivan, Montgomery, Gibson and Hughes you go in and try to save what can be saved, let's go", Maya had her captain tone again. Then she came to me: "You are taking care of the injured, maybe someone will come out alive", she went back to the house and looked at the situation. 20 minutes later the four came out again, they had a man in their arms and were running away from the house. They pulled down their masks and shook their heads. "Miller, how does it look", Ripley came up to the four of them, me also with an emergency bag. "We couldn't save anyone. There is pure chaos in there, we have to let it burn down." "Andy, severe burns on the four extremities and bad smoke inhalation, if we are in the Gray Sloan in 10 minutes, he should make it," Robert put him on the stretcher and Andy tried to find an access.

Robert's pov:
"Okay Andy, I'll go with you in case he has a circulatory breakdown," I got into the ambulance with her and Travis drove off. "What was that supposed to mean when we arrived, you can't just run into the burning house. You're pregnant. Gernerell it was dangerous for you to be there, you must have inhaled far too much smoke," I confronted her with a concerned undertone . "I'm sorry, I just didn't think at that moment," she checked his pulse: "Pulse is stable but his blood sugar is too high for me". "Hey", I grabbed her arm and looked into her eyes: "We have the appointment with Carina in an hour, before that you can be examined for smoke inhalation okay?" "Okay," she sat down again. And we drove towards Gray Sloan.

Ok i thought to bring in a bit of drama but that didn't quite work out, anyway i hope you like it anyway. And one more thing: I'm on vacation next week so there will be another chapter tomorrow and then probably again in a week. I hope you understand. BYEEEEE
