Chapter 14

Heyyy...have fun with this chapter. (I am sooo sorry for not updating a long time. I'm gonna be more active from now on.)

Andy's pov:
"Omg, that was so good", we were lying next to each other in the narrow bed, my head rested on his warm chest: "I want this never to end here," I said to him. "It will be soon". "What why". "Because there will be three of us soon and then there will be nothing to do with togetherness", he smoothed my hair. "I know, but I'm scared of it. What if I'm not a good mom, I'll fail," I panicked. "Hey, shhh, take it easy," he kissed my forehead: "You're going to be a great mother, she'll be fine with you". That calmed me and I closed my eyes again. "Come on, we have to work," he wriggled out of my embrace. "No, don't go," I looked at him pained. "Captain, I'll be on duty," he laughed and kissed me, then left. It was a quiet day. No bets. Most of the time, I just sat in my office and had to work. Then there was a knock on the door, it was Maya: "Hey, is everything fine?", she entered. "Yes, everything is great. What's up?", I didn't even bother to get up. "I wanted to ask if I could go earlier," she smiled empathetically. "Aha, why is that?" "Oh just. Carina is off today and we want to leave for the weekend". "Okay, but I have something good about you for that". "Okay thanks." "Wait, you won't come to Los Angeles either?" "No, so I hope that's not bad". "Maya, we need you there, are you serious". "I know, but you're able to do it without me". "Okay, but there will be some overtime next week." "All right, see you later," then she left my office again.
I kept working a bit so I wouldn't have to do everything next week. Then I was finished and went into the hall to pack a few things together so that we could leave on time tomorrow. Travis came in: "Hey, why are you lifting that heavy stuff, I can do it", he took the saw from my hand. "If I do it alone, it'll be faster," I smiled. "Aha since when has that existed?". We cleaned up a bit and he left because he wanted to rest. I sat on the edge of a truck. It was so quiet, not as I know it, but pleasant. At some point this will no longer be the case. I knew that I would take the little one with me to work for a while. So I could work and take care of her. There are also Maya and Dean who are sure to like babysitting. Then Robert came in and sat down next to me. I took his hand. "I'm worried," he said, looking at me. "Why that? I'm fine". "About tomorrow, I have a really bad feeling. I don't want anything to happen to you". "First of all, nothing will happen to me, the fire is not as bad as it was last time. Second, I am the captain and have to be there". "I know, it still complicates the situation because you're pregnant," he put his hand on my stomach. I smiled, "I'm sure we can do it," we looked each other in the eye. "Well, I'm hungry now, will you come with me?" I got up and held out my hand to him. He took it and we went upstairs towards the kitchen. We stopped in front of the door: "Are you ready", he asked me with a big smile on his face. "For what?" Then we entered it. "SURPRISE", everyone yelled. The whole A-shift was there. A big banner with 'Baby' was above them. Many cupcakes were on the table and I saw some present on the counter. "Omg what", I was totally shocked, but in a good way. "We threw you a baby shower", Maya came up to me and hugged me. "But I- ", I couldn't really speak because I was so overwhelmed.
