Chapter 10

Andy's pov: I couldn't believe it. He wanted to destroy my career, he didn't support me, well he did but he doesn't want me to be captain. "Andy, I want the best for you. When you want to be captain, then I'll support you. But please don't work too hard, I just want to protect you and our baby", he took my hand. "I know, and I'm sorry, I try to stay calm and don't work too much", he put his hand on my waist and pulled me nearer to his body: "I love you, okay", he looked deep into my eyes, then he kissed me and we stumbled into our bedroom.
It was the next morning, I woke up. It wasn't dark outside, the sun shined trough the big windows and Robert snorred beside me. I looked at my watch, shit it was 7.30 and I have the interview at 8am, I really have to hurry up. So I sprang up and woke Robert up. He looked worried at me: "What's wrong, is everything ok?" "Yeah, I just need to hurry up, because I have this interview in a half an hour". "Okay", the he fell back asleep. I brushed my teeth, showered and picked an elegant outfit as fast as i could. I wore a blouse, a black jeans and a blazer, it fit but not good because of my belly, but it did look good. I drove to the station, the B-shift was there. I came into Maya's room, Dixon wasn't there yet. "Wow, you're not late", Maya said to me. "I was busy this nigjt you know", i smirked. I sat down because I was out of breath: "This girl makes me crazy, I'm feeling like a whale and she's moving all day long", my hand rested on my belly. "These are one of the reasons why I don't want to be pregnant", Maya laughed. Then Dixon came in: "Great to see y'all", he sat down on the other chair. I looked at Maya and rolled my eyes. We talked a lot and I needed to sign a lot. Then he packed his things together: "So and? How fare along are you?" "Uhm 19 weeks i guess". "Great, good luck, bye", he walked out of the room. "He was nice this time", Maya saidbto me. I sat down on this really comfy captain-chair. "Hey, you'll get this", she nodded to me. "It's so unreal, i'm mean imma captain now". I was so happy. "Great. You need to go shopping with me....you owe me that". "What". "You need to go baby shopping", she smiled brightly. "We have three hours left till our shift begins", I stood up. "Okay, then let's go".

Maya's pov: We walked trough the city. "Hey, come on let's go into this store", I took her with me into a baby store. "Look at all these cute baby stuff, naw and this little body with a pink butterfly on it", I showed it to Andy. She wasn't that amused, but smiled a little bit. "These shoes are so small we're gonna take these for sure", I took one pair of them and threw these in the basket. After an hour we had two baskets full of cute baby clothes. Andy was still not very amused but laughed a few times. "You know that you're gonna pay for all this stuff", she said to me. "You're gonna have a baby-shower in a few weeks". "Are you kidding me, I don't want a party for my baby", she rolled her eyes. We paid and got out of the store. Then we got some ice-cream, we sat down on a bank in the park. "Are you happy, right now", I asked her. "Well, ice-cream at 10am makes me happy of course. But i'm afraid of what comes next. My dad would know what to do". I was quiet.

Andy's pov: A few hours later I was back in my new office. Robert came in: "Hey, captain Herrera". "Uh uh, don't call me like that, i'm still Andy". "Okay Andy", he kissed me: "So what are you working on". "Ugh nothing. Do you have time after our shift", I smirked. "You know we have an appointment with Carina today at 6", he smiled and played with my hair. "Oops I totally forgot, then at 5.30 here". "Yes, I love you", he kissed me. After an hour the team needed to drive to a house fire. I was staying her at the station because I was so exhausted. At first I ate a whole pot of pasta with curry sauce. Then I was tired because of the food, so I laid down on a couch. I slept a long time but woke up because of the kicks in my belly: "Shhh, calm down. Mommy want to sleep", I rubbed my belly but the didn't stop. "Ow, come on seriously", I stood up and walked into the kitchen, I needed to clean up. It turned out that I cleaned the whole station. Three hours later the other were back, I was asleep on the couch again. Robert woke me up with a kiss: "We're back, do you also want to eat something?, he smiled at me and I stood up: "Ow", I crunshed my face and the quickly smiled again. "What's wrong"?, he asked me. "Ah, nothing, she's just kicking", we walked into the kitchen. "Please tell me when it's getting worse or something", he whispered to me. I nodded. "Dean is gonna make his Chili", Jack sang. Then we ate dinner, it was fun as always. "Don't forget, in eight weeks there's gonna be a big wedding were you all have to wear dresses snd suits", Maya said to us. "I'm gonna wear a suite", Travis said. "Me too", Miller said. "Well, i guess I also have to", Robert laughed.

Later at the appointment...

Robert's pov: "Is everything else okay", Carina came into the exam room. "Yes, she's really active but everything is ok", she laid down on the table. Then Carina made an ultrasound: "Everything looks good, heartbeat is great. You're little daughter is developing very well. Here a picture", she handed us an ultrasound picture. I looked to Andy and she smiled: "She's gonna have your chubby nose", she said to me. Then we headed home.

Andy's pov: "Ugh, I have to wear a dress to Maya's wedding", I came out of the bathroom after i brushed my teeth: "I want to go in sweatpants, it's way more comfortable than a tight dress", I got under our blanket. "You're gonna look perfect", he kissed me. I laughed. "And you're gonna be so hot in a suit", I smirked: "Ow", I looked down. "Again?", he asked me. "Yes, ow", I said. "Hey", he put his hand on my belly and talked to her. "You're gonna bejust like your mommy, but now let us some sleep because we need that", he rubbed circles on it and then kissed me. "Wow, she stopped. You know maybe she likes you. But not how much she likes me because i'm sharing my body with her", we laughed and fell asleep really quick.

Yayyy...ok this chapter was a little bit boring, nothing really happened. But our surrera baby has a name now ;)
