It feels like we've been walking forever. The never ending streets of London all look the same even though there's always something different around the corner. He's still got his arm wrapped tightly around me as if saying "I'll protect you" I can't stop thinking, "what am I doing? I've only known him, what, like 20 minutes" yet somehow, going back to his house seems right. He'd already explained that he lives with 7 other boys but that doesn't matter, as long as he's there I know I'll be safe.
After a few minutes he breaks the awkward silence,
"Don't worry Amelia, we're nearly there" I just smile and nod, still feeling awkward and hurt from what happened earlier on. After walking another 5 minutes, we approach a tall apartment building. They live quite near the top so he decided that we would take the lift as my energy levels were at an all time low due to my exhaustion. As we walked in the apartment a gang of 7 boys came hurtling towards me. I backed away slightly shy of them all just as Charlie stepped infront to protect me.
"Wait guys, this is Amelia, she's had a hard time so please make her feel welcome." And he turned to smile trying to reassure me. I moved away from behind him and flashed each of the 7 boys an awkward smile. A chorus of voices all blurted out in my direction "hi Amelia, I'm Chris, I'm James, I'm Casey, I'm Jake, I'm Reece, I'm Tom and I'm Barclay" one of them then continued to speak, I think it was Jake, "here, come through here and get some pizza or something, you look well worn out" so I did what I was told and followed them all into the kitchen with Charlie putting his arm back round my shoulders.A/N - just a filler chapter before it gets into it, I promise the next few chapters will be better. And I will be updating much more frequently.
