Amelia's POV
"Charlie!" I screamed as I saw him fall weakly to the ground. I ran towards him and fell by his side. A round of gasps echoed as the rest of the boys came running out the apartment block but stood still as soon as they saw Charlie lying motionless on the ground. His nose was covered in blood and his skin was ice cold to touch. Still remaining unconscious, I bent over giving him a loose hug followed by a slight kiss on the cheek as a single tear fell from my eyes. In the background I heard James on the phone: "ambulance please, my bandmate has been punched and is unconscious" the conversation carried on a while through the phone but I didn't listen. It broke my heart to see him this way. If I never met him, if I refused to go back to their apartment, none of this would have happened. Charlie would be okay. It's all my fault. I held his hand and let out a river of tears as the sound of ambulance sirens chorused around us and pulled up beside us.
"What's his name?" They asked, looking at me for an answer, as all the other boys stayed away, clearly in shock from seeing their best friend like this.
"Oh, em Charlie." I told them after they repeated the question again, this time with urgency in the tone of their voices.
"Great, and do you know what happened?"
"Yeah, my ex boyfriend punched him" I explained and my eyes filled with tears again.
"So he's your boyfriend" they questioned, trying to find the person who's closest to Charlie.
"No, just friend" I replied defensively.
Before I knew it they were lifting him onto a stretcher and onto the ambulance when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"You should go with him." They told me and I looked up to see Tom standing there. I simply just nodded in agreement and climbed onto the ambulance, instantly grabbing hold of Charlie's hand.
