Chapter 23 Didn't Chirps

Ke Ruan held Si Yuhan and wandered about. It seemed they had a good time. Lin Qingye followed behind and paid for everything they chose. It was only for about half an hour, his hands were already full. 

Lin Qingye had never saw Ke Ruan like this. He asked surprisingly, "Young Master, why did you buy so many things?" 

Si Yuhan looked at him as well.

"I bought all of this for Han. I promised him to buy him things. Look at him, he barely says anything. He would never ask me for anything, so I decided to buy a bit of everything for him."

Si Yuhan's long eyelashes were trembling. He didn't know what to feel all of a sudden. 

After saying so, Ke Ruan then ran towards a nearby shop. Lin Qingye followed him closely. Si Yuhan didn't. He was just looking at Ke Ruan's figure, something glimmering in his eyes. 

Suddenly, somebody grabbed his neck from the back. Si Yuhan didn't show any emotion on his face, but his eyes were filled with coldness and hatred. He sneered and glanced over Ke Ruan. 

Of course. This was what he was up to.  Si Yuhan thought, I did underestimate him a bit. This was a great dirty move. Well done!

Although he was still young, the martial arts learnt from his previous life were still there in his mind. He kept them in his mind. It was such a shame for those who wanted to kill him. Because they had no chance at all. It was a mission impossible. 

He raised his fingers, trying to fight back. But on second thoughts, there were too many people. It might cause a lot of trouble to kill them here. 

That man behind him had a deep and hoarse voice, which sounded horrible. He said, "Kid, if you want to live, just shut up." 

Ke Ruan was buying something then, suddenly he felt a thrill. A bad feeling rose in his heart.  

Lin Qingye noticed it and asked," What's the matter?"

Ke Ruan frowned, then shook his head, "Nothing."  

He fixed his eyes on something. It was an accessory that was used to hang on a sword. It was made of sky-blue silk string. There was a round stone in it, which was translucent and smooth. Blue tassels were hanging from the stone. The design was simple but unique. 

Ke Ruan thought that blue represented a vast expanse as well as the desire and expectation for a wonderful life. It was the best gift to give to Si Yuhan. 

Ke Ruan turned around and said, "Han, do you like ..."

There was no sign of Si Yuhan. Ke Ruan was scared to death. What happened? He was there a minute ago. He didn't think he left on purpose. 

He hurriedly looked back to search for Si Yuhan. 

But he wasn't there. 

He rushed over.

"Hey! You haven't paid!" The shop owner shouted at Ke Ruan.

Lin Qingye put money on the counter then hurriedly rushed out.

"How could this happen? Where did Han go?" Ke Ruan said anxiously. 

Lin Qingye frowned and looked around, "He shouldn't be far away. Maybe he just went back to the inn?" 

Ke Ruan shook his head no and said, "That's  impossible."

"How do you know?" Lin Qingye asked.

"Emm…"

Ke Ruan didn't understand why he was so sure, either. But he just knew. "Because it's just not possible. Anyway, General Lin, please, help me find him. If we lost him, you would have a hard time explaining all of this to my father."

He transferred the responsibility on Lin Qingye so he could help him find Si Yuhan. He said sorry in his heart secretly. 

Lin Qingye nodded. He didn't let any annoyance show on his face. "Since you're so worried about him, let's go find him." 

Ke Ruan nodded, then began to ask the passers-by one by one.
