Chapter 43 Ask the Way

To his surprise, A’Lan resolutely shook her head. Suddenly, Ke Ruan felt a sharp pain from his hand, then subconsciously let go of his hand. A’Lan then started shouting.

“Er… It seems the girl passed out because of my hit.”

Before he could ask anything, Si Yuhan said, “I was worried that she would draw the attention of the bandits, so…”

“I know.” Ke Ruan climbed onto the tree and carried him down, comforting him, “Don’t blame yourself. You did the right thing. If the bandits came, we were sure to get into trouble. But… how did you do that?”

Si Yuhan lowered his head and said, “I know a little bit martial art.”

Ke Ruan was utterly speechless.

So he was actually the worst student ever.

Ke Ruan frowned and looked at him. Si Yuhan felt a chill in his heart — did he notice anything wrong?

He clenched his fists.

Si Yuhan gave out a soft “Hmm”.

His eyes turned crystal like stars above, “So you forgive me? Am I right? You forgave me?”

If it was not for the current circumstance, Ke Ruan would burst into laughter.

Si Yuhan hid the coldness in his eyes. See? The reason why Ke Ruan was being so nice to him was to beg for his forgiveness so he could get away from what he did from his last life.

Si Yuhan looked at him with flickering eyes.

Did he hate him?

He agreed so easily. So he did forgive him. If it was a few days ago, he would have just ignored him.

He said, “I’ll teach you what to say.”

“No need.”

Ke Ruan rubbed his nose. Right. After all, he was the awesome male lead. There was nothing he could teach the boy.  He said gently to Si Yuhan, “Then I’ll hide first. Little Han, try and let that little girl take you there.”
