Chapter 43 Ask the Way
Translator: Storm in a Teacup
“You don’t have to talk. Just take me there. Understand? If you do, nod your head.”
To his surprise, A’Lan resolutely shook her head. Suddenly, Ke Ruan felt a sharp pain from his hand, then subconsciously let go of his hand. A’Lan then started shouting.
“Help! Help!”
Ke Ruan was shocked. It would be horrible if somebody heard her. However, as soon as the girl started shouting, she fainted right away.
He was shocked again. What was going on?
“Young… mater.”
Looking up, Ke Ruan could see Si Yuhan’s fair and childish face. “What’s the matter?” He asked gently.
“Er… It seems the girl passed out because of my hit.”
What?
He did that?
Before he could ask anything, Si Yuhan said, “I was worried that she would draw the attention of the bandits, so…”
“I know.” Ke Ruan climbed onto the tree and carried him down, comforting him, “Don’t blame yourself. You did the right thing. If the bandits came, we were sure to get into trouble. But… how did you do that?”
Si Yuhan lowered his head and said, “I know a little bit martial art.”
Ke Ruan was utterly speechless.
So he was actually the worst student ever.
“Only a little… to protect myself, you know.”
Ke Ruan frowned and looked at him. Si Yuhan felt a chill in his heart — did he notice anything wrong?
He clenched his fists.
Ke Ruan suddenly hugged him and rubbed his hair. “Han. It was my fault. Now I know I was wrong. I’ll never do that again.”
Si Yuhan gave out a soft “Hmm”.
His eyes turned crystal like stars above, “So you forgive me? Am I right? You forgave me?”
“Okay!”
If it was not for the current circumstance, Ke Ruan would burst into laughter.
Si Yuhan hid the coldness in his eyes. See? The reason why Ke Ruan was being so nice to him was to beg for his forgiveness so he could get away from what he did from his last life.
However, he still didn’t understand that if Ke Ruan was actually reborn like him, given his temper, he would have killed him.
But Si Yuhan didn’t have time to think this through.
Ke Ruan was simply too excited. He bent over and kissed Si Yuhan on his face again and again.
Si Yuhan was almost frozen.
But Ke Ruan didn’t realize that. He was immersed in joy. Right now, the only thing he cared about was being forgiven by the male lead. However, one shouldn’t be arrogant. He needed to be nicer to him so he could forget completely about the bad influence left by the original Ke Ruan and only remembered the nice things.
“Little Han, let’s figure out a way to find General Lin first.” Ke Ruan was so happy that he couldn’t stop smiling.
Si Yuhan looked at him with flickering eyes.
Did he hate him?
No, after being molested by Ke Ruan’s two eunuchs, he felt disgusted with both men and women. He couldn’t touch anyone, let alone anything intimate.
However, Ke Ruan just kissed him!
It was different rage from that time when they were stuck in the lake.
He didn’t know what to feel. His soft lips. The fragrance of sandal wood ran into his nose. He didn’t hate that. He just couldn’t understand what it stood for.
All he knew was that he didn’t feel disgusted.
He stretched out his finger and touched the place where Ke Ruan kissed, then frowned.
Ke Ruan didn’t notice anything unusual. He just stared at the girl who had fainted. Soon, he came up with a solution.
“Little Han, you are a good boy. And, you are so good-looking. Everybody loves you at first sight. So does the little girl. Would you mind asking her something? ”
Si Yuhan nodded.
He agreed so easily. So he did forgive him. If it was a few days ago, he would have just ignored him.
He said, “I’ll teach you what to say.”
“No need.”
Ke Ruan rubbed his nose. Right. After all, he was the awesome male lead. There was nothing he could teach the boy. He said gently to Si Yuhan, “Then I’ll hide first. Little Han, try and let that little girl take you there.”
