The offices were deserted, North and Silas were now out until late on jobs and Sang had gone for the day.
Kota thoughtfully walked into Victor's office, shutting the door firmly behind.
He placed Sang's paperwork down in front of Victor, leaving his fingers resting on top. 'Did you complete the background searches I asked for?'
Victor nodded, swinging his chair slightly to the side to pull open a drawer. Kota's voice stopped him.
'Don't.'
He straightened in his seat and turned to look at Kota. One of the first things he had to do whenever someone new entered into their circle was a complete background check. He had started one on Sang before Kota had even requested it, now Kota didn't want it? It was unlike Kota to be indecisive.
'Whatever you found, keep it to yourself. I've got her social security details here for further searches.'
He paused, looking down at the paperwork his hand was resting on. 'Identify any threats in her history so we can be aware, otherwise keep it quiet. I want her to be able to tell us.'
