The Wait Is Finally Over

*TIME SKIP-3 YEARS LATER*

Yuri's POV

"And the winner in first place is...YURI PLISETSKY!!!" The crowd bursts into cheers and I see my fans putting on cat ear headbands and screaming and crying in hysteria, I couldn't help but smile. A guy puts the gold medal around my neck. Best. Birthday. Present. Ever. Yes, today was my 18th birthday, it also happened to be the day I won the Grand Prix finale. The guy handed me a mic for my speech, although I wasn't aware I had to have a speech prepared but the crowd grew silent in anticipation so I guess I'll have to improvise.

"Uh...U-um, I couldn't be more grateful for this..." Otabek chuckled at my nervousness and I gave him a glare, he was standing next to me, being in second place. He saw the clear struggle on my face and decided to help me out by taking the mic away from me. I sighed in relief because I do not do well with speeches, especially improvised ones.

"May I mention that today also happens to be Yuri's birthday, today The Grand Prix champion turned 18! Which means...I can finally do this" he turned to face me, lifting two fingers underneath my chin and smashed his lips onto mine. At first I was shocked, he actually waited...all those years. He hasn't forgotten...I thought I was the only one who still remembered our promise from that day and I scolded myself for being such a simp about it. Eventually I came back to my senses and gave in, leaning into the kiss, caressing his cheeks, I felt him smile into the kiss. The crowd was probably roaring in happiness but I wouldn't know, time stopped, everything around me went completely silent, in this moment it was just me and him, our lips moving simultaneously and our hearts beating extremely fast. We pulled away from each other to get some oxygen, both of us breathless.

"Happy birthday Yuri Plisetsky" Otabek smiled at me, leaning his forehead on mine. Remember when I said that the gold medal was the best birthday present ever? Ya, I take that back, this, this definitely beats it. I was smiling like an idiot in front of all these people but I didn't care, I was just too happy to care, I was smiling so much my face muscles were starting to hurt, but I didn't care about that either. All I cared about was the man right in front of me, looking deep into my green eyes with his own dark pair, and that's all I'll ever care about.

Otabek's POV

As soon as I opened the door to our house, yes our house, we moved in together a couple months ago, I wasted no time, pushing Yuri against the door and connecting our lips together, my arms against the door next to his head. He grabbed a fist of the collar of my button-up shirt and pulled me closer, kissing me back passionately. We stumbled into the house until his back hit a counter and I trapped his thin figure in between my arms, our lips never parted. We were both extremely eager, pouring out all the sexual tension that we've held back throughout all these years into the kiss. I placed my hands on his hips, lifting him up onto the counter as he wrapped his arms around my neck. I felt his tongue against my lips so I parted my lips in response, allowing our tongues to collide, fighting for dominance, which I gladly let him have. He kissed me hungrily and started unbuttoning my shirt but eventually gave up on being patient and just ripped it open, buttons scattering everywhere, I smirked into this kiss before pulling away, our faces still inches apart and he frowned at the distance.

"Someone's...desperate..." I chuckled softly in between pants.

"Shut up." He narrowed his eyes at me in annoyance.
