*fast forward 6 years to Sirius' 8th Birthday*

As I aroused from my deep slumber on the morning of my 8th birthday my joints seemed to be made of lead, another one of Mother's 'scenes' had taken place the night before.

A lot had changed in six years.

Father had returned from his four year job abroad for the Ministry in Albania (All top secret of course) and he was nothing like I had hoped for.

He was a terror, worse than Mother, more prejudiced, opinionated; he believed that muggles, muggle-borns (or Mudbl00ds as he so 'kindly' referred to them as') were the lowest of the low, they deserved nothing less than house-elves.

In short, I hated him.

Before I could even properly wake up that day I realised I wasn't in my bed... I was- floating above it? I was paralyzed with happiness. It had finally happened, I had shown signs of magic, nonetheless on my birthday!

The previous year on my seventh birthday Father had expected me to show signs of magic as soon as I had turned 7, he shamed me and called me a squib all because I was a late bloomer.

"You're not trying hard enough"

"You're doing it on purpose to embarrass us"

"You are no true Black"

Those words were all I, as a seven year old, could hear for a year, not just from my parents but from my aunt and uncles and grandparents so on, so on... it got to me, I pushed myself trying to tap into my magical nature, forcing my body to try and do things it wasn't ready for yet.

I collapsed a couple of times, I was just a late developer of such, no one seemed to understand.

Except of course, Uncle Alphard, he was a treasure, he loved me no matter what. He left me an inheritance of great wealth and he too was exiled from our most noble house of Black.

I couldn't find my words, I wanted to shout and cry aloud for all to hear "Sirius Black IS a wizard" the surge of happiness travelled through me like a ball of golden light, humming gently and slowly growing as my pride and excitement grew.

"Mother!" I finally screeched at the top of my voice "Father! I'm floating, I AM a wizard, I have magic!" you could hear the pride in my voice, My spirits high as well as my self esteem "I'm going to Hogwarts and I'm going to be Slytherin!"

A set of footsteps could be heard throughout our home like a herd of elephants stampeding through the savannah "Sirius Orion Black, is what you say of the utmost tru-" my Mother began to say, she stopped when she entered the room saw me floating mid-air.

"Oh my brilliant baby boy has finally acquired his magic, he won't be a filthy mudbl00d squib, yes Walburga, yes, we raised him well" My Mother exclaimed and muttered to herself, twidlling her thumbs about her nose.

My Father stomped into the room shortly, "Sirius m'boy, I was getting rather afraid that you weren't going to show any signs of magic, that you were going to be a squib!" he started bigotedly "Now I look back on myself and laugh at the thought of the very thing, your blood is of the Black family, Toujurs Pur , remember that m'boy, always pure." he concluded.

I was so proud that day, my family seemed to adore me that day, the Black's male heir.

I was to keep the family line pure.

Even if it meant I had to marry into family.

A/N: Hey all! Exams are finally over! This chapter is a bit more shameful on Sirius, you can see how it's slowly affecting him, they are drilling this idea into his head that he has to keep his family name pure and that if it weren't for Black family blood he would be nothing, this will affect the story later, I hope this didn't trigger any of you and that this finds you all well! Vote and Comment please! <3 :)
*Edits: hey, got some facts wrong dont mind me <3
