8. back in business

Seohyun's POV

It's been around two days I have been discharged. And like the past few days Lee Heeseung was still in my house annoying me every now and then. But I was still the cold person I am and always gave him a hard time with everything. I was doing everything to make him feel pressurized. He needed to get used to it. Arranging the papers I got down the stairs only to smell freshly made toasts.

"Oh you're ready?" Heeseung said out still in his pajamas as I bit the inside of my mouth feeling irritated. "Are you not coming today?" I said as he furrowed his eyebrows. "I will. First have breakfast." He said out as I scoffed about to walk away but his hand pulled me towards him making me sit on the chair as he put the plate of food in front of me making me confused.

"What?"

"What what? Eat it." He really didn't think of my patience, did he? I rolled my eyes looking away and stood walking towards him. "Listen Lee I don't see any reason why I should listen to you. And please don't take so much trouble when you know it'll be in vain anyways." With that I walked out of the house to see Jungwon outside.

Heeseung's POV

I just stood there once again disappointed to see another dialed attempt to make sure Ms. Kim was having her meals properly. She's too hard to take care of and to stubborn to talk to. Seohyun is too busy to have time for herself but she has no rights to disregard others hardwork like she did to mine. I sighed going to my room to get ready and soon was in the car by her side as Jungwon drove the car.

Still kinda salty about the previous incident I sat silently on the couch reading the file Jungwon gave me as Seohyun worked on her laptop. There was a knock at the door as Seohyun signalled the person to come inside. The door opened as the familiar employee peeked through the small gap. I felt my heart drop a beat seeing her soft smile.

Seohyun's POV

My gaze become colder as I saw Hyuna. Gesturing her to come inside she handed me the file for the next meeting as I checked them out forgetting her or anyone else's existence. It was silent until I looked up to see the girl still standing with a fake smile. And my eyes went towards Heeseung as I found the guy staring at him. I scoffed in my mind seeing the cringe worthy scene before letting out a sigh.

"You don't have to wait for to tell you to leave." I said as the girl came back to her senses. "O-oh yes I'm leaving." She turned to get back to work as I saw Heeseung reflection about to go behind her. I really couldn't handle this much ignorance. "Lee Heeseung stay." I ordered him as the guy as well came back to his senses and sighed before looking at me.

"I'm done though." And he had the audacity to say that. Letting out a sarcastic laugh I closed the file glaring at him. "You shouldn't and can't be roaming around the office even if you're done."

"And why is that so?"

"Cuz you need to have some self respect to remind others that you're the next CEO of the Lee company." I gritted my teeth while saying that out. He really thought he'd just lead a simple life even after being a CEO. Well he is wrong. Completely wrong. Heeseung didn't say anything and just sat as I prepared for my next meeting.

"Ma'am they are here." Jungwon informed me about Mr. Nam's arrival as I got up with good hopes this time. I won't mess it up again. I though as I walked up to the meeting room.

Jungwon's POV

I stood outside the room diligently hoping for the best to happen. Remembering about Heeseung hyung I walked to Noona's cabin to see him taking a small nap. I softly smiled knowing what a hard noona was giving him and it was honestly kinda unaccepted for him to last this long.

But it was different. I was not only hopeful for him to be a good CEO but for him to make a change in the cold-hearted CEO's life. Now it could be done in any way. The guy slightly woke up as I sat beside him. "Noona makes you work a lot?" I sighed as he shook his head.

"No it's just me overworking myself thinking I can impress Seohyun but it never worked out." He said out slowly checking his watch as I looked down. "Seohyun noona is like this. She won't appreciate you but she'll see the growth." He nodded sighing as I got up having a feeling that meeting is probably over by now.

Seohyun's POV

"So what do you say? Good enough for you?" I said out in a cheerful tone as Mr. Nam went through all the details again. The satisfaction in his nod as he read the contract itself was a relief to me. "Yes obviously. I'd love working with you." He said out as I let out a small smile. "The deal is great. As expected from the strongest CEO." And like always with fame came expectations which I couldn't pass the last time.

"What was wrong the last time though?" Mr. Nam have seen my capability for a long time and he didn't expect a poor presentation from me so it was very obvious for him to be shocked. "Uhmm." I couldn't say anything.

Because I fell asleep?

Or because I had already given up?

"It's fine. I'll take my leave now."

"We made it!!" Jungwon exclaimed in excitement as I sat on the office chair facing the glass window noticing the outside view without thinking much. I didn't react much. It was just one success. I have much more to achieve. "Congrats Kim Seohyun." Lee Heeseung said out with a smile as I didn't bother to give him any reaction but grabbed my bag to go out.

"I'm leaving." I said confusing the two men. "Home? I'll come as well." Heeseung said getting ready as I didn't wait for him. The guy looked at Jungwon for a answer as he replied to him.

"She drinks alone on these nights."
