"Moony, I'm home!" I sang entering the small but homely cottage dragging Harry's trunk along with me as the boy nervously waddled behind me dragging his feet over the threshold. Turning I smiled "You're gonna love moony, he'll be joining us at Hogwarts this year too. He and your dad were some of my best friends despite being older than me. In a way he's kind of like an unofficial big brother to me which makes him your uncle. Ah and here he is, look alive moony we have a guest"

"Rose you've far too much energy, please tell me you didn't eat" Remus looked up from his book to see us only to let his words drift into silence as he took in the image of the boy behind me. "Harry?"

Harry smiled nervously, shifting from foot to foot "oh  um, hello?"  He greeted nervously, messing up his hair just like his father used to.

"Hope you don't mind an extra person crashing here for a while?" i laughed drapping an arm around Harry's shoulder casually "we kind of come as a package deal now that i've taken custody whether old Dumblesnores likes it or not"

Remus was too busy looking at harry to even notice my snide remark about our old headmaster. Remus seemed taken back by Harry's likeness to a young James potter as he looked over the young boy with messy raven black hair and circular spectacles that could have been inherited directly from his father. 

"Come one Moony, you can't stand there staring at the poor boy all day, introductions are in order... or i suppose reintroductions" I laughed pulling Harry deeper into the sitting room with me before i plopped myself down on the tread bare sofa, resting my feet up on the coffee table giving a wide smirk to Remus who rolled his eyes. "I know he's gorgeous, he does take after my sister after all so you're forgiven old boy"

"sorry harry, it's just... merlin the last time i saw you you could barely stand and now" Remus choked back a sob as he continued to take in every detail of Harry's features "now you've grown so much. you look so much like your father but your eyes.... it's almost like looking at lily again. the perfect blend of both of your parents." Remus smiled softly remember his old friends, his sadness clear in his eyes as he turned to look away from harry so that he could regain composure over his emotions. 

"You knew my mum and dad?" Harry queries his eyes lit up like christmas trees. 

"Knew them? Harry, moony here was practically family!" i laughed before looking back to remus who was attempting to descretely wipe his eyes "he is practially family. I'm certain theres isn't anyone better to tell you about all the sinagans your dad got up too in hogwarts. big bunch of pranksters, no he'll claim the fifth, saying he was innocent but i know better, i know he was the master mind behidn some of their biggest and greatest pranks but unlike your dad, moony knew how to hide his tracks well enough to not get caught"

"I do not and you know it! now, are we gonna continue our bickering our are you going to actually introduce yourself to your nephew" 

Harry just watched us as though we were tennis players, hitting an invisable ball back and forth causing his to loose track of the conversation rather quickly. a shy smile on his face while he played with the sleeves of his over sized jumper. 

"oh, yes well, I'm Remus Lupin, i was a good friend of your dad, when you were about this height" He used his hand to indicate the size of a small toddler who would have only reached just around mid shin on Remus who was a giant in comparison to me who stood at just five foot nothing. "you were rather fond of calling me u'cle moo, though i gather you were attempting to say moony which was an old nickname from my hogwarts days your dear aunt there is instant on bringing back"
