Without another thought, Kaito pulled out his phone and started dialing the precinct, not taking his eyes off the body.

"What are you doing?"

Kaito's head turned to his smaller partner, "What do you think? I'm calling the cops!"

"We are the cops you moron." Kokichi sneered.

"What about the dispatchers, and the forensics? We can't deal with this alone!" Kaito argued back, lowering his phone with a shocked expression.

"It would certainly make things more interesting~" he cooed, his eyes starting to sparkle "come on! Just this once, it'll be fun!"

Kaito gaped with such disbelief. There's no way this guy was being serious, "Are you crazy? This is a real person not some murder mystery novel!"

Kokichi's face shifted to boredom as he examined his fingernails, "God, your soooo boring. So look at it like this Momota~chan," He turned back to Kaito, a dark shade looming over his eyes, "If we call the cops, whose gonna look suspicious?"

"W-what?"

Kokichi rolled his eyes, "Oh come on! This is so a murder."

"You don't know that!" Kaito rebuttled.

Kokichi shot him a condescending glance before pointing to Angie's corpse, "Obviously picked lock, obviously stabbed corpse. What else could it be? Did she pick her own lock and stab herself with her paintbrush? Sounds like the kind of theory you'd come up with."

"If it's a murder then it's even more urgent that we call it in!"

"And whose gonna look like the killers? I don't see anyone else around."

Kaito's voice grew in volume, simultaneously with his anger, "But were not the killers!"

"And they don't know that. What's the harm in waiting for someone else to find the body? She's a famous artist, someone should be around soon enough."

"That's illegal!"

"So what?" Kokichi shook his head, "I don't have time to be a suspect in a murder case, and unless you wanna be... removed from your position, you'll agree."

Kaito dropped his phone. He couldn't believe what Kokichi was saying, "You can't do that!"

"Did you forget that I'm serving as Captain? I could take away your badge before you even dialed the number, so I think you better cooperate." Kaito could see him stifling a laugh, most likely from the look on Kaito's face, "Here's the deal. We investigate and see what we can find. If the body hasn't been reported by tomorrow night we come back and pretend we discovered it for the first time. If and WHEN it does get reported, I'll assign us to work on the case."

"Your lying, right?"

He smiled cheerily, "Nope! Whatta ya say? Bit of crime or your badge?"

Kaito froze, confusion running through his now icy veins. He couldn't do this, he wouldn't! But Kaito knew the truth; he could, and he most definetly would. He'd known Kokichi for awhile now, and he knew this is exactly the kind of stunt he'd pull, but Kaito couldn't understand why. Why is he so desperate to keep us from reporting this body? Does he want to play some sort of sick game? Or is he really just scared we'll be suspected?

After a few more moments of thought, Kaito nodded, "Fine, but you better not be lying! If it's not reported by tomorrow night were calling it in immediately!"

Kokichi smirked his familiar, yet still so infuriating smirk, "Well well well, looks like Mr. Justice isn't as noble as we thought. Gotta secret evil side? Are you a muuurdererrr?"
