Jennie POV
The sunlight coming from the small slit made by the lightly parted curtains hits my face, waking me up with an arm draped over my stomach.
I turned my head to my side and see Rosie still asleep.
Remembering what happened last night, how she took care of me to lulling me to sleep and kissing my forehead, I smiled at the sight.
"I can feel your eyes..." she quietly said with her morning voice and sleepy eyes.
"So?" I chuckled and snuggled closer.
"How are you feeling?"
"Better," I looked into her eyes. "Thank you. I think you should do a part-time job at the infirmary."
"What?" she laughed as she sat up and leaned on the headboard making me do the same thing. "Wow, thanks."
"Are we going to report this morning?" she asked but before I could answer her, a knock can be heard at the door.
"Jendeuk, Chaeng," Jisoo's muffled voice called. "Teddy wants us to be in the office in thirty minutes."
"Okay," I replied out loud.
"That answers your question," I turned to her and chuckled. "Now we get up."
"But why in thirty minutes," Rosie whined as she hopped off of the bed and I followed suit.
..........
Instead of immediately doing what we have planned for today, for Rosie to explain to us whatever happened in that café, we're here seated again at the meeting table of Teddy's office.
"As you already know, the files you got lead to the transactions between the VNtech and the government..." Teddy started.
"Jisoo," I whispered. "How did he already knew what we're going to report to him?!"
"Relax, Jendeuk," she quietly said while leaning to me sideways. "We sent the files earlier this morning, and we don't want to disturb your cuddling session."
"Wow," I scoffed jokingly and crossed my arms. "That's so sweet of you. Thanks-"
"Ouch!" I whisper shouted as she stomped her foot on mine.
"Hey, agents," Teddy called making us turn our attention to him. "Will you please listen?"
"Sorry, sir," Jisoo and I both said.
"As I was saying, I already had a talk with the government," he continued. "And the copy of contract that you got is said to be true. They confirmed it."
"Well, what is it for?" Rosie asked. "Security or there's more to that?"
"Security, yes," Teddy replied while putting his hands on the table. "The intended purpose of them, investing in highly-advanced weapons, is for the country's safety and national defense."
"But, the buyers or we say their 'clients' such as the CEO of the pharmaceutical company and other outsiders like how they easily let you in, are all illegal and an information that the government didn't know of.
We didn't know who's behind it, the selling of those weapons or exposure to the public, because it is only supposed to be between the VNtech and the government but-"
"Do we need another mission?" Lisa slightly raised her hand.
"But...fortunately, we don't have to do another one anymore," he said. "The Velvets took your other mission, right?"
We all nodded and waited for his explanation.
"The CEO of the cosmetics company also had the weapon and they have found a file containing how the VNtech uses the weapon as an incentive for being business partners with them.
You know, aside from the possible high costs of the weapons, those are quite promising in terms of it's technological advancement that may keep their partnerships long-lasting.
And as the weapons are also of high costs, they've been selling it secretly to civilians who can afford it."
"Okay, that's completely stupid and dangerous," Jisoo exasperatedly said. "They are endangering the public."
"Yes, and because there are extra produce that have been open to the public," Teddy sighed. "Other concerns such as the possibility of it being leaked into the North would be a disaster."
"So what do we have to do now?" I asked.
"We're not going to continue doing the plan A anymore," he casually replied.
"Uhm what was the plan A, again?" Jisoo frowned.
"Oh right, this is the first time I'm going to discuss the plans because it's now your next mission." Teddy slightly chuckled. "Sorry, my bad."
"Plan A was actually bombing down the VNtech and just leaving fake evidences like gas leak to cover the explosion," he explained to us while reaching for the water bottle beside him.
"What?!" Lisa exclaimed. "That would be totally cool but thank goodness we don't have to resort to that."
"Yeah," Rosie agreed. "Civilians around the area might get hurt and considering there are also people being experimented on inside that building."
"Then what's the plan B?" Jisoo asked.
"Arrest all the workers who perform the illegal parts of the business including the man behind all of this who is still unknown to us for the past ten years," he explained. "The government authorizes us to use an arrest warrant."
"So, we'll just go in there then arrest them?" Lisa asked. "Isn't it the job of the government police?"
"Well, this is a special case and especially that this should not be disclosed to the public," he answered. "And we're a special agency that also handles this type of situations."
"When do we do it?" I leaned towards the table.
"Within this week," Teddy replied as he sat on his chair. "I might also add that you should plan on getting inside and find out who the CEO is first."
"Right," I leaned back on my seat again.
"So do you have any concerns? If none, you may go now."
"None, thank you," Jisoo stood up and followed by us, walking towards the exit.
But before the glass door closes, Teddy halted us.
"Wait, I forgot," he called us. "You'll be having another meeting probably tomorrow or the next day with the Velvets so you can plan together."
"Okay," I nodded and he did the same so we proceeded on leaving his office.
..........
We're almost near at the women's headquarters when Rosie broke the silence."Ohh! I forgot," she said while looking at us. "I'll be meeting up with Lex later at 5 p.m."
"Why?" I curiously asked as we continue to walk.
"We'll talk again," she replied. "I contacted him to know more information. And after that, I'll tell you all of it."
"I just wanna know the whole story first so I can share it with you without any missing pieces," she sighed as we stopped in front of our place.
"Okay," I positioned myself in front of the retinal scan. "Just be safe and come back immediately."
"Where will you be meeting him?" I added as we step inside.
"Just at our usual ramen place on the third street from here," she replied while removing her shoes. "Would you like a take-out?"
"Yeah, you better bring some for me," I chuckled. "And dumplings."
"Alright, Miss Mandu," she saluted at me with a playful smile.
Third POV
"The CEO would really kill us if we don't get her now!" the man yelled frustratingly to his subordinates. "Understand?!"
The group of men only nodded.
"Stalking her for these past few weeks and waiting for the right time to abduct her while alone didn't worked," he walked back and forth. "The last time we tried to use a bait also didn't worked because of your incompetent asses!"
Stopping in front of the men, he pointed his index finger to the forehead of the group's leader.
"Do everything. Make sure that we can bring her within this week. We cannot delay this anymore."
"Or else, I'll be the one to kill all of you first!"
