They continued sparring down the alleyway and were unfortunately getting closer and closer towards me. Anton swore as Basil's iron knife grazed his cheek. It didn't look too bad, but it was bleeding and wounds by iron on faeries took very long to heal. Anton then got a lot more intense and threw two daggers at Basil which nicked his shoulder and got stuck in his forearm. He growled at Anton and began to shift into something larger that looked relatively like a large werewolf but more humanoid.

And boy did he have sharp talons. Basil lunged so quickly I could barely see it. He reached under Anton's guard and dug his fingers into Anton's stomach and twisted. Anton howled in pain as talons scratched the lining of his stomach. He quickly drove a knife through Basil's collarbone and shoved him away. Basil screamed and rolled away.

I realized I should probably help and set him on fire or something because that would kill him, but I didn't have any matches. Maybe I could try to test these powers I supposedly have. I shot out my hand in his direction and squeezed. Basil's eyes burst in his sockets and blood started to drip from his nose. He became still and Anton looked at me with a very surprised face.

"Oops?"

"Oops is all you have to say after exploding a man's brain? I mean, good on ya, but why did you stick your hand out at him? You seem relatively surprised that that happened so I'm assuming you weren't trying to burst his internal organs?"

"....Yeah, I thought I should set him on fire because it would definitely let you win. I guess I don't have control over my powers. Maybe next time I should imagine fire and maybe don't clench my fist. I wonder if I can control all the elements. Do you think maybe you could teach me? Or maybe this person called Iara could help teach me? She's supposed to be my mate right? What's a mate? Do you have one? I was wondering-"

"Niamh. Calm down. Are you still injured? Now that your powers are unlocked you will have difficulty controlling them. I can help explain, or maybe Iara can explain, but it's all up to her if you can come to the fae realm. It's probably less dangerous there now that the dark queens know where you are. I suppose she can't keep you out even if she tried because of how strong your connection is to the fae realm. I guess I could include that you wanted to go there in my report because of everything Basil sai-"

"I am going to the fae world and you will take me there because if what Basil said is true then I am fae and I have every right to be there. Now that my powers have been unlocked or whatever, I need someone to teach me how to use and control them."

His eyes glazed over for a moment and then he said "Woah, don't go using your mind control powers on me Niamh. I can't take you into the fae realm, only Iara can summon me because I'm her number one subject. I suppose you do really need help controlling your powers."

"Okay, what kind of powers do I have? Who am I? How old am I? Aren't faeries like, immortal?"

"Your name is Niamh, that is true, I'm not supposed to tell you more than that. Iara will tell you more when she decides it's the right time. For now, we need to stay in your apartment which I will lay protective spells and glamour around. I suppose I can lift part of the glamour on you, so you can see your true fae self. But not your fae form, wings get in the way in an apartment."

"Hold up. I have wings? And this isn't what I look like? If I have to be on house arrest I better have ramen. Also, can I have your sweater? I'm really cold man."

Anton chuckled and rolled his eyes at me. "Of course you can have my sweater. You always take them anyways." He shirked off his sweater and tossed it to me. I had been shivering without realizing it. Must've been the adrenaline rush during the battle, I questioned, "Are battles always so intense you don't realize when you need something? Is there always such a huge rush of adrenaline?"

"Hah, you have fought many battles, you should know by now. You should also re-learn to fight."

"It's not my fault my memory was wiped and everything I knew and loved was taken away from me. Not that I even know what that is." I sighed. Maybe, maybe... my body lurched sideways, and gave out from underneath me.

I sat up and yawned. It appeared I was back in my cozy apartment. Cool. I wondered if Anton put the wards up.

"You took a while to wake up. I made some ramen. Do you wan-"

"Yes!"

"Hahaha, why did I even ask. First go look in the mirror."

"Huh why?" I yawned again. "Fine it's not like-" I gasped. The reflection in the mirror didn't look like me. Fae glamour really is good at it's job. My hair looked like moonlight, my eyes a deep ocean blue. My lips were larger and more defined and my ears... they were pointed like a faerie's. My chest was much larger than before, my eyes widened at the sight. Damn, I had very curvy curves. "I'mー I'm beautiful. This doesn't even look like me. If I were anyone, I would take one look at this," gesturing to my body, "and immediately decide I need to get railed by this."

"Yeah, what do you think I've been trying to do for so long?" Anton joked. I punched him. "Ow, Niamh that huuuurts, your fae strength is ridiculous!"

"Was that part of the glamour too?!"

"Of course, you're really frickin strong!"

"You guys thought of everything huh?" I sighed. "I'm borrrrrrrred, can I have some ramen?"

"1) you literally just woke up there is no way you are bored, it's not possible. 2) Yes of course you can have ramen, but try making it appear. Like out of thin air." My eyes bulged out of my sockets.

"You can do stuff like that? I can do stuff like that?! What other crazy shit can I do?" I looked at my hands in amazement whole he chuckled.

"Yes you can summon things, and a lot of other crazy impossible things (to humans.) But when Iara thinks you're ready, you can lear-"

"I don't care if Iara thinks I'm ready, I want to be trained. I want to control my powers. That's not too much to ask." He sighed.

"Just eat this ramen and go back to bed, you need to rest a little longer."

"You're no fun anymore," I grumbled to myself. A quickly slurped up the ramen he'd made and cozied into my furry blanket on the couch after reading a bit more of the ancient book from the library.

"You do now that what you're reading is ancient fae history right?"

"WHAT?! I THOUGH IT WAS A FANTASY BOOK!" Anton laughed and went back to reading a magazine.

Vines slithered out from the book. Niamh didn't notice, because she was so focused on the story she was reading. They wrapped around Niamh's wrists and started to tug. She gasped. This was magic. What was happening? What would happen? He had warned Niamh about the book. Now it was too late, for the ivy green vines yanked Niamh into the glowing book. And she let them.

A/n: Heyyy, did you like that chapter? Have a good day, I hope you're enjoying reading! I originally started writing this for a school project, but I had to adapt it and make it 'school appropriate' or whatever because you're not allowed to write spicy scenes at school because it's only allowed on wattpad ig. Lolz, I hope you like it!

Basil looks like this. His hair is supposed to be longer, and he's got a scar under his left eye. Ik he's hot it's too bad he had to die.
