Staying up and waiting for this train was honestly really boring, and cold. I shivered, and crossed my arms across my body. My nose was runny, and my eyes were tearing up a bit from the colder air. "Hey, whats up?" I looked over. Callum was awake now, and talking to me. "Not much, I'm just a bit cold but it's helping me stay awake."
"Well if you're cold, we could always go for a walk and talk so we don't disturb anyone." I nodded and followed Callum into the woods. "So, where are we walking to?"
"There's actually a lake up here, I was just gonna go sit by it, maybe go stargazing."
"Oh that sounds nice actually." I smiled. So far, life out of that dirty shelter has been good. I enjoyed hanging around these people.
We made it to the lake, and layed down on our backs, looking up at the sparkling sky. "I never really noticed how pretty the stars were until now. Where I lived, the air was always too dirty to even see them." I said
"Well, you get to enjoy them now!" Said Callum. "Oh by the way, can I show you something? It's actually by the water."
"Sure." I said. I got up, and followed Callum down to the water's edge. "So, what did you want to show me?" All of a sudden he scooped me up, and threw me in the water. My legs hit the bottom of the lake, and I pushed myself up, gasping for air and wiping the water from my face. "Callum what the hell it's cold in here." He didn't answer. He just got into the water as well, and swam over to me. "Don't make too much noise," he said, grabbing my head, and pushing it under. I tried to swim up, or get his hand off me but it was no use. I could feel my body shutting down. I could barely move now, and was choking on water. My eyes closed, and everything went black.
"Finally, she's gone." Callum said, swimming out deeper into the water. I pusher out into the lake farther so she wouldn't be found until later. I swam back to the shore, and walked back to everyone else. When I got back, everyone was still asleep. Perfect. In the morning, we will have to get on the train without her.
