The Fight

I woke up earlier than usual trying to escape the faint memory of a dream about Natalie and Karisma's fight. It’s been two days since I found out the news that Karishma had a crush on the guy that Natalie likes, Jason.

I don’t understand why karishma would tell Natalie, but whatever. All I care about is what’s going to happen later, it seems that Paige and Alina have taken Karishma’s side. That means we have Lauren on our side!

Lauren is amazing at winning fights, she actually taught Karishma how to fight which means she’ll definitely know how to beat her!

I really don’t want to fight I wish we never fought, but I know that will never happen! I really think Karishma took it over the line by flirting with Jason AFTER Natalie got upset with her. That was just wrong!

I looked at the clock and I realized that I had zoned out for about forty-five minutes and it was getting close to the time I have to leave!

I rushed to get ready. I brushed my hair and my teeth. I put on a tight pink shirt, black tights and a white aeropostale sweater, my hair was up in a high ponytail with a black headband.

I ate two waffles with maple syrup. By the time I was finished it was time to leave for school. I put on my hat, gloves, my winter jacket and boots. I walked out the door saying goodbye to my parents and dog, the cold hit me like a punch in the face. It was bitter and dark, large snowflakes flew quickly through the sky due to the strong wind. I pulled my hood up and started walking waiting for Lauren and Natalie to walk to school.

Soon after, Lauren’s mom pulled up in their red Cube offering me and Natalie, who then walked up behind me, a ride to school. We both gladly accepted and got in quietly, we both sat in the back silently the rest of the way.

Once we made it to the school we all got out and said thank-you. We automatically started talking about everything, Lauren had one of those stupid grins she gets when she drinks coffee really early in the morning, Natalie still looks depressed, she is still smiling though, who doesn’t smile when Lauren is high on caffeine? I stood there laughing hysterically when Lauren started making  stupid faces while explaining to Natalie what black coffee tastes like.

We all stopped as soon as Alina walked up to us. She was angry, REALLY angry. “Natalie what is your problem? Lauren, you too. Karishma wouldn’t talk at all yesterday!” She was basically yelling at them, “And Rachel, you can just stand there while they ruin Karishma’s life? What the hell is wrong with all of you?”

I stood there in pure horror when Lauren butted in with one of her snide comments.

“You know what Alina, none of this is Natalie’s fault! She was flirting with him right in front of my eyes. She took it way too far and Rachel agree’s. This is not her fault, so you can just piss off and go over there with the the other she-devils!” Lauren’s giddy smile was gone and she now had an evil devil smile on when she gets angry and starts arguing with someone.

Alina said something under her breath and hissed “Whatever, you can say whatever the fuck you want but you will not win this one Lauren and I know this for sure.”

Lauren laughed and smiled “Ooooh, I’m so scared! Alina swore! Oh my god!” and kept laughing.

I don’t understand how Lauren can be like this during a fight! All I can do is stand here frozen in pure amazement at Alina’s guts to be like that with Lauren. None of us would ever challenge her to a fight!

The sharp pang of the school bell sent me back into reality. Natalie looked horrified, Lauren quickly looked at her with a look of determination and said “Don’t worry, she started it and I will SO finish it!” She smiled and patted Natalie on the back and stalked off to her first class.

I looked at Natalie and smiled meekly. “Natalie I’m as scared as you are about what Lauren is going to do to them!”

She laughed, not a fake laugh, a true laugh! Now there we are!
