A long, long, time ago their lived a royal family who's subjects resided in a range of dark and smoky mountains on the edges of the world. The family with their one daughter, Princess Maria Pidgel VIII with the country's true pride and joy. She was kind, beautiful, and considerate of all of the soon to be subjects she would one day rule over. That was, until that fateful autumn morning.
Maria stepped out of her room and onto the sheen maple brown wood of her personal balcony with a soft click of her her newly shinned ruby red high heels to smell the crisp autumn breeze that lay before her. As she drew a breath in a single thought crossed her mind. Was it just her or... did the air smell awfully ...smoky... today? Nor able to finish her though that young Princess let out a hearty cough and bent over. It smelled terrible. What could have cause such a strong smell?
With eyes wide Maria shot back up. Her eyes suddenly began to sting. Blinking away the salty tears that came with the stinging pain. As she did so thick black smoke twisted and climbed its way up onto the balcony. Leaning over the balcony dozens of shouts came into earshot for the poor girl. Vengeful screeches down below came adorned with metal pitchforks glinting in the warm sun and bright flames that waved in the breeze. Maria's stomach did flips at the sight. What were they yelling about? And more importantly, why were they at the castle?

I'm also super sorry for this not even being 400 words. I normally would write around 400 - 1,000 words per chapter/one-shot but I really just made this one for a quick introduction. I'll try to push out Escape as soon as I can for y'all that like what I have so far. Please make sure you've had food and water today tho. :> Also about the lack of covers and pictures in my works so far, I wanna add some but they never seem to save no matter how many times I upload them and press save. Does it only work in the app? Is that why?
