Chapter 6: Voices

"They're surrounding us!" Daniel said cautiously. "They?" Kate said in shock. "There's about two of them. Yep, definitely two." Kyle added. "They don't sound like wolves though." Jaxson continued. "Oh no." Ash said under her breath. "That can't be good." Daniel said. "No not that, look in the distance behind the trees." Ash replied. I see it! It looks like wolves, what are they? At that moment, two black clouds of fog and ash emerged from the forest and circled the pack for a few seconds, then formed into two black wolves that each had streak marks down the side of their fur. Mo"You've entered our territory. Leave now." One wolf said sternly. "We didn't mean any harm. We never picked up any scents so we had no idea." Kate explained to the wolves. "Actually, I did." Ash said disappointed with herself. "It's fine, no one blames you." Daniel said in comfort. At this point, Kyle was very frustrated with Ash. She needs to trust her own instincts. At that moment, the two wolves darted toward Ash and attacked. "Look out!" Jaxson shouted. Then out of nowhere Ash took down one of the wolves and wounded the second. Everyone was shocked. "Wow." Kyle blurted out accidentally. Ash smiled and blushed a little as she glanced at a starstruck Kyle who was also blushing. "What are your names?" Daniel interrogated. "Lucy and Linda." "You can call us the Night Sisters. Linda stated. "Looks like you have an ex member of our clan." Lucy remarked. "What are you talking about?" Kate questioned. Oh no. Not them. You, Really?? Great now you know. "They mean me. I used to be in their clan. They're Timber Wolves." Kyle explained.

"You were a Timber wolf?" Ash said in shock. "I was tricked into it. They said they were the dominant clan. They lied. I had something of use to them that they wanted and they tricked me." Kyle explained. "So you're saying we can't trust them. Not surprising." Jaxson remarked. "Why would you trust them? They don't look, act or even smell trustworthy." Daniel questioned. "You'd be surprised with how trustworthy these wolves are. I Left Them!" Kyle exclaimed. "Oh I see so we should trust them and not you. I can do that."Ash said sarcastically. "Hey, don't hate because he has a past. Some of the strongest werewolves have a history you wouldn't understand." Jaxson defended. "Thanks for having my back man." Kyle said. If he only knew. "Are ya done yet?" Linda said annoyed.
