Traitor Todoroki

Part 8-Suprises

I sit at the bar and talk with everyone when Kurogiri warns "You should get out of here Todoroki, Bakugou could wake up any second now" "thanks, Man I'll be going now."

One hour later

I sit at my desk trying to find any sort of dirt that would help me prove that heroes are becoming corrupt, for something I've named project: false idol. So far I've come up with a whopping...parking ticket. I sigh "this is gonna take forever" I say in a defeated tone "I mean, one of them has probably tdone something bad in the past, I'm sure of that much. The thing is if a PRO HERO wants it to go away, it goes away." "You know what fuck this, I'm taking a break." I get up and walk to the bar area. I hear an explosion coming from the the room that my friend was being held in "looks like Bakugou woke up"
"I've listened quietly to your endless talking-" "Enough! Bakugou, calm down and listen to the man" I tell my friend, although I doubt he sees me as one at the moment. His eyes widen, then he smiles "icy hot! C'mon let's kick these guys asses!" He says "denial won't get you anywhere man, I'm unrestrained and I have a drink in my hand" I return, nodding to the glass in my hand. "Look, if you just sit down and ACTUALLY listen to Shigaraki, you'll see that he has a point" I say, sitting at the bar. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU ICY HOT?!" He screams at me, but I cut him off. "You know what my father did to me, and yet, he's still considered a top hero, I told you the purpose for which I was born. Are you really going to stand there and tell me that heroes today care about saving people more than they do money and glory?" I reply "hell, you won the sports festival and they chained you up and muzzled you like some kind of rabid dog" "does muzzling and chaining 15 year-old kid to a post in front of thousands of people really sound heroic to you?"
He pauses looks at the ground, then sits back down, Touya looks at me and mouths "good job"

10 minutes later

"This hasn't gone anywhere, I'm gonna go out, text me if anything happens" I say, putting my hoodie on

I pull my hood up and put a black medical face mask on as begin to walk to the store. I see several interesting things on my way through the slums the hideout was located in, a mugging, which I stopped, guess I'm not completely done being a hero huh? A crackhead jump out of a second story window, and a guy buying drugs in an alleyway.

I walk out of the convenience store with some food, drinks and 2 pocket knives. As I walk home I look into that same alleyway I saw the drug deal in earlier. My heart cracks and tears form in my eyes "F-fuyumi?" She whirls around "Shoto?! It's not what it looks like" she tries to explain further. Before she can say anything else I pull her into a hug "I'm sorry I didn't realize you were struggling! Of course you would be stressed always trying to be the glue that holds our family together, plus my kidnappings, I should've known you would've been hurt" I apologize, letting her cry into my shoulder. I make a dagger out of ice and point it at the man "if I EVER catch you anywhere near my sister again I'll cut your fucking throat open, got it? Now get the fuck out of my sight, you goddamn vermin" I say with more hatred in my voice than I had ever before in my entire life. The man wastes no time getting the hell out of there. The second he starts to run away I turn my attention back to my sister comforting my sister.

30 minutes later

I get a text from Touya

T: yo, where are you man? You left for the store half an hour ago"

S: sorry, but I won't be going back to the hideout for a few days, sis is going through some stuff and I want to be there for her

T: what happened?

S: she's been really stressed lately trying to keep everyone happy and she's cracking under the pressure

T: I'll tell Shigaraki, make sure she's ok, alright Sho?

S: thanks and no problem

I pocket my phone and walk back to the living with the hot chocolate I made for Fuyumi and myself.
I hand her a cup. We talk for somewhere around five minutes when the door bell rings "I'll get it" I tell my sister. I open the door to see "Touya? What are you doing here? I thought you wanted everyone to think you were dead?" I ask "I do, but my sister's in trouble, so I came to help" he replies. "Alright, hey sis someone's here to to talk to you, I think you'll like who it is" I say. "Dabi!" She says, terrified, which I probably should have seen coming. "Woah woah hey calm down, he's not here to hurt us Fuyumi" I try to reassure her. "It's me sis, it's Touya" he says with a smile. "T-Touya?" She responds with tears in her eyes "yeah it's me-" he's cut off by Fuyumi running up and hugging him.
