Jungkook’s parents entered the dark house. Walking further in, they saw a figure on the couch.

While Mr Jeon went to his bedroom, unbothered, Mrs Jeon took a closer look and figured it was her own son.

It looked like Jungkook was having a nightmare judging by the way he was tossing his head from one side to another.

Mrs Jeon smirked as she sat on the very less space at the edge of the couch, beside Jungkook and ran her fingers through his hair.

As he was having a nightmare already, he shot his eyes open at the slight touch and breathed heavily. He calmed down a bit after noticing his mother.

He gulped down the tears and sobs he wanted to let out because of the horrible nightmare.

Jungkook has always been sensitive.

He would have dreams when he would fight or do something that would make him feel guilty.

He has the purest soul cause he never ignores his fault and always tries to improve.

Jungkook sighed and placed his head on his mother’s lap and hid his face.

“What happened? Why are you sleeping on the couch here? Did she kick you out of the room already?” Mrs Jeon laughed, clearly not noticing the slight flinch from her son.

Was she making fun of him?

“It’s not like that. We had a small disagreement, that’s all. And I wanted to sleep here on my own. She didn’t kick me out or whatever.” Mrs Jeon hummed.

“Disagreement. How long has it been that you got married? Two…three weeks? I didn’t want you to have regrets in the future. But I still think Lisa was a better option.”

Jungkook exhaled sharply, “Mom.” “What? You know I am right anyway.”

Jungkook sat up and spoke firmly, “Just because we had a small fight doesn’t mean I would choose your Lisa over Y/n. Fights are normal. It wasn’t even her fault now that I think about it. My childish behaviour and stupid me.” Mrs Jeon narrowed her eyes at Jungkook and then stood up.

It looks like you won’t tell me about your guys’ fight. Anyways, sleep in the guestroom. It is better than…sleeping here. I’m off to bed, good night.” Sarcasm could be sensed dripping when she said ‘good’.

Jungkook sighed for the hundredth time that night and took his blanket and pillow to the guestroom. On his way, he kept thinking about Y/n. Is she asleep? Let’s just check.

Peaking his head in, he saw a tiny bump on the smooth mattress. Y/n was fully under a blanket, facing the big windows. Jungkook couldn’t tell if she was asleep or not but he joined her anyways. Spooning her from the back, he realized she was awake by the way she flinched. “I’m sorry.” He quietly whispered.

Y/n turned around with a pout and Jungkook repeated her actions by pouting too. “Idiot,” Y/n mumbled before hugging him causing him to let out a chuckle. “I love you.” “I’m sorry too, and I love you too…” Y/n replied shyly before drifting into a comfy sleep.

A few days later

Ever since the ‘fight’, Jungkook had been thinking of the deal he made with his mother. The deal that said that Y/n could continue her career as a teacher after the few days of the wedding.

Now he was finally feeling confident enough to sit and have a one on one talk with his mother. Entering the lawn, where Mrs Jeon was reading a book and was sipping coffee from time to time, he sat beside her and cleared his throat to make his presence known.

What’s the emergency that you thought of your mother? Did your wife disown you this time or what?” She joked. “I don’t even get to see her these days.” He rolled his eyes to himself.
“Anyways, I wanted to have a session with you. Do you have time to talk?” he respectfully asked. Mrs Jeon took off her glasses and placed them with the book on the table at the side. "Yes?" Uhm-doyouremeberthedealwemadebeforeigot-?

“I’m sorry, WHAT?” “Do you remember the deal we made before I got married?” Jungkook repeated nervously yet slowly this time. “What about it? Forget about it already, it’s of no use.” She stood up, walking back into the house as Jungkook followed her.

“No MOM? That is not fairrrrrrr” He whined. “Everything is fair, son.” “No. Mom. I promised Y/n. Mom, all this is new and hard for her. She isn’t used to doing all this. She likes to be independent and I have no right to take that away from her."

"Just because she married me, doesn’t mean she should be forced to do things-“ Jungkook continued but got cut off. "Jungkook, I suggested her staying at home for your good. You don’t know what’s going on in her school right? You don’t know how many men she has-“

“What do you mean men? I fully trust Y/n and she wouldn’t even think of doing such a thing.” “But you are never sure. Trust me, it is better to keep her home, engrossed in house chores then- you know what I said earlier.”

Jungkook breathed deeply thinking. A sudden idea popped in his mind. “I have a solution to that. For tomorrow, Y/n will leave with me and she’ll continue her job or whatever. From now on, she won’t stay isolated at home like this.” Without saying another word, Jungkook left Mrs Jeon in a stunned state.
