Three days later:
“Good afternoon!” Y/n chimed while entering Jungkook’s office making Jungkook jump on his seat a bit. Y/n laughed as Jungkook playfully rolled his eyes before turning on his seat to face Y/n.
“Well…you look in a good mood. What’s up?” Jungkook raised his eyebrows as Y/n shook her head while grinning. “Nothing special. I just feel a little relaxed today.” Jungkook smiled and looked at Y/n, admiring her. “That’s good.”
“Uhm-I a-actually came here to talk to you…” Y/n tried to change the topic as she was starting to feel shy by Jungkook’s gaze. Funny how he still has the same effect on her that he had when they met for the first time.
Jungkook hummed as Y/n walked towards the chair in front of Jungkook’s desk. “I think you should consider that Lisa girl’s request.” Jungkook raised his eyebrows. “How do you know what she wants?” Y/n made a poker face and looked at Jungkook. “I wasn’t completely out when you guys were talking. Either way, you weren’t too quiet as well.”
Jungkook chuckled before massaging his forehead. “She is just asking you to be friends with her. What’s so hard in this?” Y/n shrugged, confused. “Do you know how I know her?” “Uh- no?”
“Do you want to know?” “I mean- I don’t mind…” Jungkook cleared his throat.
He should’ve told this to her the same day he came back after meeting her. “Lisa is the daughter of Mr Oribe. Mr Oribe has one of the most successful companies and so mom thought that it would be a benefit for our company if we were to become partners.”
Y/n nodded eagerly, understanding everything. “Mom also said that…to make the contract stronger, we should build a relationship with them, a strong one. So, she suggested that I marry Lisa as you know?” Y/n’s eyes widened at this.
“I-I also went to meet her once. I genuinely thought that she would be a good friend but I couldn’t marry her. Do you know? Cause…I already had you. So I just rejected it. I don’t even properly remember our conversation and today she is here to be ‘friends’ with me. And I don’t think it is necessary.”
Y/n stayed still for a while, taking in everything. She then pursed her lips and looked at Jungkook. “I still don’t see the reason why you don’t wanna be friends with her. There doesn’t have to be a reason for doing that. What the most that would happen? You guys would meet after WEEKS considering your schedule. You just have to change your attitude towards her.”
