The Story of Namikaze-Uzumaki Naruto ( HIATUS )

Chapter 1- Evaluation and Decision

Lying on his bed, Naruto thought of all the things he had gone through. All the past came back to him. While thinking of his team, he could not think of even one time when the others had praised him. It hurt a bit in his heart, but then he really thought about it. Why should he be in such a team? Also others never really said any kind words to him, and let it be at the combined team meetings of team kakashi, guy, kurenai and asuma ,the only one who really cared about his opinion were Neji and Lee.  Others would quickly reprimand him and tell him to shut up, so why care about them?

With a sigh, he got up and grabbed an empty notebook and a pen and started evaluating himself. "Lets see, the things I know are-"

"Taijutsu- Basic academy style with no speed so I need to work on that. My stamina is good and since there are some books on Uzumaki style taijutsu, I can look into that to adapt it and start training myself. "

"Ninjutsu- Other than rasegan and adding a bit of Kyuubi chakra to it, I am non-exisent in it. Hmm.. this actually needs some work on. Shadow clones definately will help, as I get their memories back so I can work on multiple jutsus at the same time. No big tension here too as the Shinobi library literally has all the jutsus there. I will ask some chakra papers from tenten's shop as they might have some."

"Genjutsu- Damn here is something I never really grasped on. This truly needs hardwork but I can again work efficiently here."

"Kenjutsu- This is something I never really tried before. But something has to start someday. I will ask for some D rank missions to raise some money and try to get a Chakra sword once I master my affinities. This I need to personally practice and cannot leave it for shadow clones. Library does have some basic knowledge, but I will purchase some scrolls next week when the merchants will come. "

"Fuinjutsu- Now this is huge thing. I have seen many sealing techniques and was also interested. But due to its vast portions to learn, that sannin never taught me anything in here. Let it be, I will do it myself with shadow clones. This definitely will prove beneficial on missions, to disrupt chakra networks and provide me with storage seals. Hmm...... very important indeed."

"Shurikenjutsu- Never really found it interesting. Will now be put on hold until my chakra control is not done."

"Well now that atleast I have a clear thought on what I need to do. Guess I will just be done for the day and sleep. Will tell baa-chan my decision tomorrow." said Naruto as he closed his book, noting everything and went to bed.

-------THE NEXT DAY-------

Waking up with a grunt, Naruto glanced at his alarm clock. It showed 5:45. He got up, took a shower. wearing a white tshirt and black anbu pants, he walked out of his apartment at 6:30 to meet the Hokage. While walking, he noticed that the streets had a eerie effect of calmness, much opposite of the fact that the same streets is filled with people after noon. The quietness was quite soothing for him, and could almost feel like the wind was patting him, urging him to go ahead. 

As he reached the tower, he noticed a rather sleep-derived Shizune walking towards him, ladening herself with a tower of paperwork. "Hey nee-san, Good Morning .Do you need any help with those?" asked Naruto in a calm manner, rather opposite of the loud, obnoxious tone that he usually was in. Shizune ,surprised to see Naruto here so early in the morning, took a few seconds to quickly regain her composure and reply to the person she regarded as her brother ,"Good Morning to you too. It would indeed be a pleasure if you help, this is gonna break my neck. " With a quick smirk, he took some of her burden in his arms and they both continued towards Hokage's office. 

"Have you come to some decision Naruto?" inquired Shizune. With a quick nod, Naruto entered the office. Tsunade was there sitting with a coffee in her hand, looking a bit surprised why Naruto was here 7 in the morning. After their round of good mornings and basic questions, Naruto sensing the tension in the air said, "Baa-chan, I have come to a decision on what should be done."

Tsunade quickly regained her formal composure and sat all alert, giving a curt nod for Naruto to continue. Naruto next words quite to say, surprised her but were expected as he said,"I want to be removed from Team 7 and Team Kakashi as they have no interest in my growth. Not only does Kakashi ignore to teach me, but Sakura always hits me and calls me an'idiot, good for nothing' and other things I wish not to repeat. Also she blames me for not returning sasuke and at team meetings whenever I say something she says and I quote 'bring back Sasuke-kun you idiot and then say something' and others too agree with her, except Neji and Lee. But keeping that aside, my wish is that I want to be a lone chunnin without any team, and support others in mission and fill out for the ones that have a teammate injured. But I will not help Team 7 or Team Kakashi in any ways."

"This was expected. Sakura indeed did a horrible thing of not only bad mouthing her teammate but also insulting you on the topic of sasuke while she herself cannot do a thing against him expect say 'sasuke-kun ' and fan girl over a traitor and rogue. I will give a earful to her for that. But I did not know you wished not to be put under any team. So you want me to appoint you a new sensei it seems. " said Tsunade. "Actually no, I will now not learn under any one and would train myself." was Naruto's reply. This was met with a shocked expression, but Tsunade decided to respect his wishes as under two sensei Naruto had not learned anything and was now bit untrustful towards the subject of sensei.

"Okay Naruto I respect your decision. From here on;  I, Tsunade Senju, Fifth Hokage of Hidden Leaf Village, grant  Naruto Uzumaki the rank of chunnin and remove him from team 7 and team Kakashi, making him a subsitute for any team ,expect his ex-team. Naruto will you please sign here on this document." said Tsunade with a smile. 

On hearing this. Naruto heart leaped and a sigh of relief escaped his mouth. "I did not think it would be so easy to convince you baa-chan, but thank you so much " said naruto as he was engulfed in a hug by Tsunade as soon as he signed the papers. Tsunade was pleased that he was happy and went on saying," No problem at all gaki. I will explain your Ex-team later, and also will break some bones of Jiraya. Don't you worry at all. Now come on, lets go to Ichiraku to celebrate your promotion." 

Naruto sheepishly rubbed his head and replied," Well baa-chan can we go some place else." 

Tsunade and Shizune's heart immediately did a skip as they began fussing over him saying "Are you okay? do you have fever? We should get you a checkup." Naruto began laughing, seeing how childlishly they were behaving and replied, "Calm down now, I have been eating ramen for a long time, but now I would like to eat something healthier to make all those years of bad eating habit."

Both of the Kunoichi had a proud look on their face. "Well looks like someone grew up. Okay lets get some breakfast and come back I need to finish the paperwork too" ,said Tsunade with pride for naruto. "Well you can always use shadow-clones, thats how I perfected rasengan so easily" ,said naruto pointing out the advantage of that jutsu. Tsunade had her mouth open. She quickly shut it and said with a smile," Well now look at you. Thanks to you now I can do this nightmare faster I'm proud of you." 

As the three sat at a local restaurant that had just opened at early in the morning, Naruto could not help but feel his heart being at peace and him being happy after a long time, praying to Kami it lasts forever.

Hey guys,

This is my first book so pls give me some suggestions.

Also I plan on giving Naruto 3 chakra affinities, 

1) Wind

2)Water

3)Earth

Strength wise wind and water is on same level, as him being an Uzumaki(water as originated from whirpool country) and Namikaze( because of him being Minato's son), while earth taking a back role only for defence mostly and one two for offence, while other for both offence and defence. 

Also I plan on giving him wood release, combination of water and earth, but I will leave on you guys.
