The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how big the building was. It looked brand new and a lot better than when I was here last.I walked against the tiled floor and made my way into the office. Mrs. White was one of the secretaries here. She has short white spiky hair and wears glasses. She's probably the only secretary that I remember who wasn't cold and rude to everyone.
"Hi, Mrs.White I'm here to get my schedule?" I said as I gave her the forms from my bag. She looked up above her glasses and stared at me while taking the papers.
"Are you a new student? What is your name?" She said while typing on her computer.
"My name is Danielle Simmons. I moved when I was in 9th grade." I said to her while I looked around. I noticed the office hasn't changed much.
"Oh, I remember you. You use to read a lot and were very quiet and shy. Well here is your schedule and a map. The school's been expanded since you left so all the classes are different." She said while showing the map to me.
They had expanded the school so each subject has its own wing of the building. Each subject or "wing" had its own color.
"Thanks Mrs.White" I said while gathering up all the papers. I walked out and looked at my schedule to find my Homeroom was 106. I took out my map and saw that it was on this floor. There are three floors to this school. When I was here, there were only 2.
I was trying to find my way to homeroom when suddenly I walked into someone. My papers flew up into the air along with my bag ending up on the floor. I bent down and tried to gather them up when I saw a hand helping me.
"I am so sorry. Let me help you." A masculine voice said in front of me. I looked up and saw a guy with brown eyes and short brown hair.
"Thanks" I said as we both helped me get my papers. I was about to walk away when I saw that the guy was beside me.
"Are you new here because I have never seen you before?" He said while trying to dodge his way through students.
"Yea and?" I said while still looking for the room 106. I saw 104 so it should be the next door coming up.
"Well what's your name" he said while following me.
Why is he still following me? Doesn't he have anywhere else to go?
"Danielle but some of my friends call me D or Dani. You can call me Danielle." I said. I saw 106 on the left and made a beeline for the door.
"Well Danielle nice to meet you. My name is James. When can I call you D?" he said while holding open the door for me. Well this day hasn't turned out so bad yet. James was one of my friends before I left but I guess he doesn't remember me.
"When I know you longer."
As we both walked into the room I noticed that everyone was already in a chair talking with their friends. I saw an empty seat in the front of the room. As I made my way to the chair I kept getting stares from everyone.
As I sat down I pulled my schedule out to see what I had next. I saw that James was still in the front of the room talking to some guys. Friends of his I guess.
"Take a seat so I can get attendance." The teacher said. I think his name was Mr. Peters. He wore glasses and had gray short hair.
While everyone was taking a seat, James looked over at me and smiled. The seat next to me was open. While he made his way over to me, I could see some of the girls shooting daggers at me. Not my fault he chose to sit next me.
