Dedicated to flying-purple-monkey
Sorry I haven't been able to update in awhile. I've had a lot of projects to do for school while taking exams basically everyday. So I hope you like this chapter.

Max walked with me to my locker and to Homeroom. I didn't know why he did but I didn't ask. I kept glancing around to see people staring at us and I didn't understand why. While we walked, Max didn't say a word to me the whole way. He kept glancing at me time to time, while staring daggers at anyone who thought about looking at us.I didn't even get to sit down at my desk before Emma said "So you're with Max now, huh? I didn't think you would have a boyfriend on the second day of being back."
"Emma, shut up. You don't know anything about me and for the record, Max is not my boyfriend. Why, are you jealous?" I said to her. I heard her scoff before she spoke again.
"You wish I was jealous of you." Emma said as she sat down. She wore a black mini skirt with a purple blouse.
"Jealousy is a bad color on you. But than again, every color is a bad color on you." I said as studied her clothing. I smirked at her and turned around. I honestly didn't want to deal with her this early in the morning but I guess I wasn't that lucky. I took out my notebooks and looked over my homework. As I was looking over my work, I heard the chair beside me scrap against the floor once the bell rang to get to Homeroom. I looked up and saw James smiling at me while setting his bag down.
"Hey." He said to me. He leaned over to see what I was doing. I picked up my notebooks and shoved it into my bag so he couldn't see them. I was already done, so he didn't need to see.
"Hi James." I said as I turned to him. I saw Emma out of the corner of my eye glaring at me.
"How was your first day here at this wonderful school?"
"Alright. It's the first day of school, the school has changed some since I was here before."
"I still can't believe you're her."
"I'm guessing Emma told you?" I asked him as I looked at him.
He started looking towards the ground after I asked him. He started rubbing his neck as he answered.
"Yea, she texted me last night about everything. I told her that she was making it up but she said you told her yourself and than I saw you with Max and that's when I realized she was telling the truth." He said rubbing his neck and looking towards the ground.
I could tell he was nervous by the way he was acting but I couldn't place why. There was nothing he should have been nervous about.
"You know my face is up here, not towards the ground." I said as I turned my head so it would be looking up at him and the ceiling. I smiled as he turned his head towards me.
"Sorry it's just that, why didn't you tell me yesterday?" He said while the bell rung.
"Well, nobody figured it out so I decided not to tell people. Anyway I wasn't sure who would believe me or not but when Emma confronted me and started to basically yell at me for talking with you, I had to put her in her place. Which I'm guessing doesn't happen too often." I said gathering my stuff.
As we were walking to class, the conversion eventually turned into small talk and random subjects. We reached class and sat in the middle of the room. We technically had assigned seats but we could pick where we sat. I rested my head on the palm of my hand and tried to listen to the lecture the teacher was giving. After about 10 minutes, my mind started to wonder. I thought about how the rest of my day went and how Emma told everyone already. Plus I wasn't sure if I was going to have anymore problems with her. Knowing her, she won't stop.
Eventually, the day passed by in a big blur of boredom and homework. I was stopped numerous of times by people who were wondering if it was true that I was Danielle Simmons. I actually had to pull up a picture of me on my phone to prove that we were the same people. This got pretty annoying around the time for lunch.
I'm pretty sure these people had better things to do than wonder if I was the girl they bullied 3 years ago. It wasn't until lunch when the day got interesting, thanks to my good old friend Emma.
