Ranboo POV:
I woke up the next morning thinking, "Why did we almost kiss? It hasn't even been that long!" I dragged myself out of bed and changed into a navy blue shirt and black sweatpants. I started walking out of my room when I heard talking coming from Y/n's room. I was going to walk away but my curiosity overcame me. I quietly put my ear up to the door and heard Y/n say, "I don't even know what happened Tubbo!" Why are they talking to Tubbo, I thought to myself. They continued talking. "We haven't known each other for that long, I'm not sure why that happened." There was silence for a bit before a muffled voice that sounded like Tubbo said, "I don't know, Y/n. Just give it some more time. Over time it might make more sense." I heard them sigh and say, "Yeah, you're right. I'm going to go Tubbo. I think I heard him get up." I quickly and quietly ran over to the couch so Y/n wouldn't know I was listening.
They came out of their room and glanced over at me. They had a small smile on their face and said, "Morning." They sat down on the other end of the couch. "So," They began to say, "about last night." I looked at them and said, "I don't know, Y/n. Maybe we could just.." All of a sudden, my mom opened her bedroom door loudly saying, "Morning kids! I'm late for work, so I'm just going to go. You guys can do whatever. Alright bye!" She said that all in one breath before shutting the front door behind her. I opened my mouth to continue talking about last night but Y/n said "Ok then. Well, I'm going to go change into something else and then we could go somewhere if you wanted to?" I nodded and they walked back into their room.
Y/n POV:
Man, if only Sally could've waited a few more minutes, so I could talk to Mark. "Oh well," I muttered as I opened the doors to my closet.
(You can use this outfit for reference or wear something else)
I pulled a random, but cute, outfit out of the closet. I walked out my room to see Mark waiting for me. "Alright, where do you want to go?" I said looking up at him. "How about the carnival?" I smiled. "Sure!" We both got in Mark's car, and I chose a song to play on the radio.
Sometimes I'll I think about is you..
"So, what rides are you looking forward to," Mark said.
Late nights in the middle of June..
"I'm not sure. I've never been to a carnival in San Francisco before," I said looking out of the car window.
Heat waves been faking me out..
"Wait, are you playing Heatwaves?!" Mark says looking at me confused. I burst out laughing. "DNF for life!!" I said holding my sides. "Nope, I'm playing something else." He said as he put on Adore You by Harry Styles. I look back out the window and saw a Ferris wheel off in the distance. "Gosh, I forgot how big those things are," I thought to myself. "Imagine getting stuck on top of that thing."
As we walked past all the different rides and games to play, we finally stopped at that one game where you throw a ball at the stack of bottles. (I forgot what it's called) "Mark, look at that one," I said as I pointed at a small, purple bear. I summoned a dollar bill from my pocket and gave it to the man as he handed me a baseball. "Alright Y/n," Mark said to me. "All you have to do is throw the ball to the middle of the stack." I rolled my eyes. "I know how to do this." I threw the ball at an angle that I thought would curve to hit the bottles, but instead it almost hit the game owner in the face. Luckily he moved out of the way. "WHAT THE HONK!" I said angrily. Mark handed the game man another dollar and said, "Watch and learn."
He threw the baseball at the bottles and knocked them all over. The game man walked over and said, "Alrighty then. Which prize would you like?" I saw him glance over at me before he said, "I'll take one of the purple teddy bears." The man handed Mark a teddy bear, and we headed off to some other games. "Here you go, m'lady," Mark said handing me the teddy bear. "Did you just make a miraculous ladybug reference?" I said, taking the teddy bear. "A what now?" He said looking at me confused. "Nothing, nothing," I answered. For the next few hours we went on rides, played games, and got cotton candy. Eventually we sat down on a bench to take a break.
"It's getting a bit dark, should we head back to your house?" I asked. Mark looked over at the Ferris wheel. "Hold on, what to see something?" We walked towards the Ferris wheel and I said "I don't know, Mark.. what if something bad happens?" He looked at me and said, "It'll be fine, don't worry." As we got into the cart the Ferris Wheel slowly started to turn. "Alright, ready to see something cool?" Mark said moving towards the front of the cart. "Yeah..?" I said still unsure about what he was doing. As we got towards the top of the Ferris wheel, it stopped to let more people on and Mark pointed out the sunset. "Wow, it's beautiful!" I said looking at all the colors in it. "Yeah, it really is," I hear Mark say. After a few minutes I realize the Ferris wheel still hasn't moved. "Um.. why haven't we moved yet?" Mark and I look over the side of the cart to see a man with a megaphone standing at the base of the Ferris wheel.
"Everyone that is on the Ferris wheel, don't worry! We are just having a small technical issue, and we will get you down shortly! Just be patient and stay calm!" The man with the megaphone said. "Oh my gosh," I said backing up from the edge of the cart. "We are literally at the very top of the Ferris wheel! We're never going to get down!"
