Anson's POV

I got home in the middle of the night. Luckily I don't have to work tomorrow (or better said: today, since it's way past midnight) so I can sleep till lunchtime. And I do exactly that.

After I get up and shower I decide to eat outside cause I'm too lazy to cook by myself. When I'm no longer hungry I need to go shopping. I walk around the mall getting new clothes, shoes, some material so I can sow at home. Lastly I stop to get food and other kitchen supplies then return.

On my way back it starts to rain. I haven't thought of that so I didn't call a cab and am therefore walking with tons of bags, no umbrella and no bus station nearby with a roof to stand under. I can't run because the bags are too heavy and something might fall down.

Charles's POV

I see someone on tge sidewalk and because it's starting to rain I feel bad for them so I stop the car next to the person. "I can give you a ride if you want," I cen a quick response: "Please, if you'd be so kind," so I open the back door and the person gets in with all the bags and other stuff he carries.

"Where to?" I ask and as he starts to answer he lifts his head so our eyes meet in the mirror. "It's you!!!" We shout at the same time and he immediately starts to collect his bags with the intention of leaving. But I'm already driving so I don't stop. "Where to I asked," I say and he answers annoyed: "Turn left in the next crossroad and then stop after about 200 meters." "Okay."

We stay quiet until I stop. He gets out without saying a thing so I roll down my window: "How about a thank you?" "Sure." That's all I get before he practically runs away. What an arrogant ass. I tried to play nice for once.

Anson's POV

Why on earth did he drive me home? Why did I even get into his car? Next time I should just go with a taxi no matter what weather.

He ruined my mood so I'm angry now and can't do anything creative. I start cleaning my apartment, watering the platnts etc.
That guy really gets on my nerves. What should I do tomorrow to make his life slightly harder? Should I purposely brake something? Nah, that's kind of bad for work. I'll try to thinkof something...

Charles's POV

I have the luxury of not seeing him for the rest of the weekend which in my opinion is great. I have a lot of time to think how I'll pay him back for being so rude to me.

On monday I return to work, being the first one there so I have the opportunity to go to his desk and unscrew some screws so it collapses when he's working and he has to wait for me to fix it and will therefore have to stay longer again. Cause I sure will take my time fixing it.

Anson's POV

I come to work still clueless as to what I'm going to do, so I just walk to my desk and start working.

After some time it starts to squeak which kind of scares me, but not really. It happens a lot.
What happens next however, is completely new. The table collapses. It doesn't break or anything, it just falls down with everything on it. Great, just great! Now I actually have to call that guy😠

Charles's POV

"Nothing broke, so it seems someone purposely undid the screws. Next time be careful if you're trying to fix things by sourself or something like this will happen again."

He looks at me like he's about to kill me, but says nothing. He just patiently waits for me to finish, while he goes to help a coworker so he doesn't feel useless. I guess.

"It's done," I say when it's basically time for them to leave. He just nodds and goes to clean up after me, then he just leaves? How can he do that if he hasn't done anything all day?

I return to my room in the basement to put away my tools and leave when a manager comes to me: "Sorry to bother you, but there seems to be a water leek in the bathroom on the second floor. Could you maybe check it out before leaving?" "Sure, no problem."

Anson's POV

Bathroom problems should keep him occupied for at least an hour. Maybe I should feel bad for breaking the pipe, but I'm 100% sure he ruined my table, so I don't.

"So, where shall we eat?" "Anywhere you'd like. It's my treat, to thank you for letting me use half of your workspace for my clothes." "I told you it's no problem. Glad to help. It's not your fault your desk broke." I thank her again then wd go to her favorite noodle place.

As I walk home it's already dark outside and somewhere half way I see the janitor's car passing by. Nice, so he was actually still at work.

Charles's POV

I park in front of his house and wait. When he finally arrives I see shock in his eyes. "What are you doing here?" "Oh, nothing. I just came to personally give you the bill for the new pipe you broke."

"I broke what now?" "The pipe in the bathroom." "Well if that's the case, then you shouldn't get paid for fixing my table, since you're the one who messed with it in the first place."

At this point we start to yell at each other and I just sit in my car and drive off before one of us starts to throw punches.

As I get home I start to realize I should probably stop refering to him as to 'that guy' which reminds me of the fact that I don't even know what his name is. Not that I care that much.
