Pam's POV

"I love you." Shit! I hope I didn't hear that right. Well, no, I know I did, I just hope he doesn't mean it the way I think he does. "I love you too, you know that," I say with a cheery voice and smile. He pauses for a moment before looking at the floor and saying: "Not just as a friend..." Fuck, well here we go.

"Okay, I wanted to talk to you about something fir a while now, but I didn't know how to start. I guess now I don't have a choice." He sees I look extremely serious and he leads me to the bench next to the door, so we can sit down while we talk.

Anson's POV

She's talking about her ex, whom I've known, and about his sister (who I don't know) and I don't really listen. I'm just waiting she starts talking about something relevant.

"And we're dating now." Okay, that sound relevant. But I wasn't listening till now, so: "Who?" She smiles: "I'm dating his sister now." Oh! "Wait, since when are you gay?" That sounded rude. Way more than it was intended to be, but she doesn't seem angry or hurt. She answers calmly.

"I'm not gay, I'm bisexual. And I think I've pretty much always been. And if you want to know how long we're dating, it'll be one month next week." "So you haven't told me for almost a month? Are we even friends?" I ask and when she almost pannicks, she notices that I'm really forcing myself to hide my smile. "You're making fun of me. Seriously?" I nod and we both laugh. Then we hug again and she leaves. Now that's a rejection I never thought would happen to me. It sucks tho.

Charles's POV

First thing I do is check the time. It's two in the fricking morning. Who the hell is knocking on my door at this hour AND ringing the doorbell. Somebody really doesn't want me to sleep tonight.

They don't stop so I get up and walk to the door. When I open it, the person on the other side looks just as confused as I am. "So, that's why..." he says and turns around, meaning to walk away. I notice by his movements that he's extremely drunk, so I go after him, to stop him.

Anson's POV

I'm lost. Have no idea where I am. Suddenly I see this house that looks familiar. Maybe it's hers? I walk there and knock. Nothing. Ring the bell. Nothing. Why the hell is this place so familiar?

He opens the door. "That's why..." It's HIS house. I turn around and walk away. He's the last person I'd want to see right now. But come to think of it, I don't have any friends who would live nearby and I certainly don't know how to get home. Shit.

Charles's POV

"Shit!" Well he definitely is in a mood. "Where are you going?" I ask before he would step on the sidewalk and possibly fall on the road. He turns around to face me. "Why are you here? You should sleep. Now. Shoo, shoo." I can't help but laugh at his reaction.

"I think you should too," I reply and he just nodds. Then he almost starts crying: "I know. I just don't know how to get home." Before he starts crying for real I say: "But you are home. See? This house -" I point to my house "- is yours, I was just guarding it for when you come back." I hold back my laughter as he looks at me confused, then gets angry: "I'm not a child, you can't trick me. I know it's yours." "Sorry. But at least you're not crying like a child anymore."

He tries to punch me but fails, so I just grab his arm, put it around my neck and take him inside the house. He tries to resist, but I'm much stronger than he is, so I have no problem taking him to bed. I take his shoes off, undress him, give him a sponge bath, explain where the bathroom is, in case he needs it later. Then I open my closet to find myself a pillow and a blanket to go sleep on the couch.

"Where are you going?" "To sleep on the couch." "Oh. No need. You can sleep here, your bed is big enough." After saying that, he lies on his side, facing the wall, and on the very edge of the bed. "Good night," is all I say before leaving him alone in my bedroom.

Anson's POV

I wake up with a massive headache. I was drunk last night, but not to the extent of forgetting everything. I know exactly where and why I'm currently at. That doesn't mean I'm not angry at myself. Out of all the possible outcomes of yesterday's night, I just had to end up in bed of the guy I hate mostly. Just great.

I get up, take a shower, find my clothes and leave. I hear him in the kitchen but choose not to talk to him and rather just walk out the door and towards some place where I'll have breakfast before heading straight to work.

Charles's POV

He just walked out. No good morning, no thank you, nothing. Okay, sure, what else could I expect from an arrogant ass like him.

I'm angry at myself that I even wanted to ask him if he wants breakfast. Why am I so nice to him if he's such an ass?  Doesn't matter now. I have to eat and leave for work after two days of staying at home.

To say that events of that night were surprising, would be an understatement. To say, I was surprised when I opened the door before leaving today, would however not be enough to describe how I felt after seeing somebody sitting in my garden. Especially after they turned around to face me and I saw -
