After twos hours of swimming, I joined my father who had picked me up to go to my old home.
"Your room hasn't moved for three years, you know ?" My father told me as he opened the door of the house.
"I told you to use it for guests. Had to change it." I blow.
"You know your mother, she didn't want all of your memories to be taken away."
We took off our shoes to put them in the hall and my mom came running.
"Karasu ! My karasu ! How are you my daughter."
"I'm fine mom." I tell her, responding to her embrace.
"I invited the neighbor ! She wanted to see you !" My mother told me.
"Honey, I told you not to invite her ! I wish I could take advantage of my daughter without the neighbor's gossip." My father grumbled.
I snorted quietly. My father had always been direct and very associable. Like his daughter.
"But she insisted, I couldn't say no." My mother replied, kissing my father.
" We'll go swimming together if you want, Hina" said my dad.
We finally entered the living room and I greeted the neighbor whom I had not seen in years. An old, hypocritical, triumphant smile froze her face as she greeted me back.
After my mother put down a plate of cupcakes and a teapot, the neighbor finally spoke to me."So Hina, how was France?"
I bit into the cookie and responded with a small smile.
"Really very well ma'am, you should come someday." I say with my big hypocritical air to look like her.
"I could never leave my family, see."
My father looked up at the sky and I huffed into the cup I held in my hands. Here we go again.
"Nothing forces you to leave without your family." Replied my father for me.
"Come on come on, nobody's going anywhere now anyway." My mother said trying to calm things down. "How's Kotaro, Hina ?" My mother continued to end the previous conversation.
"He's doing great. He joined the MSBY Black Jackals a few months ago. He told me he would come with me to see you next time." I said, glad we're changing the subject.
"I watched one of his games last time around, he's really still going strong. I hope I can play with him soon and remind him of who he played with when he was young." Said my father laughing.
My dad had always loved volleyball, he was very happy to be able to play with my best friend for years when we were little.
"You were really cute together. I bet you were going to end up together," my neighbor huffed.
"We're just friends, we'll never date." I countered.
"You remember when the two little ones kissed every night after school." The woman recalled, turning to my parents.
"We were in elementary school, we didn't even know what that meant." I was starting to get annoyed. "We're never going to date."
"But why ?" She continued.
I put my cup abruptly on the table and my father put his hand on my shoulder with a look that meant to ignore this gossip.
"Hina and I are going to the garden. We will let you talk to each other." My father said pulling me outside.
With the bay window closed and my father sitting on the deckchair in the garden, I finally breathed.
"Thank you dad."
"I won't let anyone attack and piss off my daughter."
I stepped forward and hugged my father.

The sun was already starting to hide when I finally decided to leave my parents' house.
My taxi driving down the small road that separates my parents' house in Tokyo, I picked up my phone and open voicemail message Bokuto had left me on my answering machine."Hi Karasu ! We're done training in 1 hour, come straight to the gym. We'll be waiting for you."
After listening, I looked at the time. It was 6:30 p.m. and he sent this to me 20 minutes ago. It was perfect, I was going to be right on time.
I plugged in my headphones and played my favorite song, 505 from Artic Monkeys.
The ride was quiet to the big city, the driver was not speaking to me and neither was I.
After several long minutes in the car, the driver finally stopped in front of the large gymnasium lit by dozens of lights.
I walked out thanking the man and walked over to the huge building. 7:07 p.m. Bokuto should be done, but in front of the entrance hall, no known faces appeared in front of me. I waited a few minutes when a man with curly hair and a mask came out."Excuse me sir, do you know if the Black Jackals team have finished their training ?" I asked the man who stopped, inspecting me head to toe.
"Are you Hina ?" He asked me.
I frowned in surprise that he knew who I am.
"I am Sakusa. I am Bokuto's teammate." He indicated, removing all surprise from my body. "He's coming soon, the coach wanted to talk to him."
"Omi-omi !" Shouted a new male voice behind the so-called Sakusa. "Who is this beautiful girl you're talking to ?" He added, resting his elbow on Sakusa's shoulder.
"She's Kotaro's friend." Sakusa said without any expressions.
"Bokuto didn't tell us you looked so beautiful." Said the boy with a smile that wanted to be flirty. "My name is-"
But before the boy could say his name another voice cut him off.
"Hina ! I'm here !" Bokuto yelled in the distance.
He came running up and lifted me up into the air. The boy with the still unknown first name resumed speaking with a sad expression.
"Thank you Bokuto for ruining the moment when I introduced myself to the future woman of my life." He laughed.
The future woman of what ?
