It was foggy as usual here at the village but still decent weather. A few months ago the Lycans had attacked me village now here I am, looking for any survivors to bring back to Luiza's house.
During the first day of the attack my father was killed and I lost both my ring and pinky finger on my right hand, thankfully Mother made it out alright.
I huffed out a breath as I wandered back over to a small cluster of houses, "Hello?" I called out.
"Father.. I think someone's here," A female voice called. Maybe it was a kid.
I approached the small building an entered it.
— A gun pointed at Courtney's head, "Woah.. it's alright. I won't hurt you," Courtney soothed.
The man lowered his gun, "Are you going to help us?" He had a giant claw mark across his face and right next to him appeared to be an eight year old girl, probably his kid.
"Yes, I'll bring you to Luiza's house where both of you will be safe," Courtney reassured the small family.
"Alright," the man agreed, "The monsters have been out so much lately I never have been able to get to far with my daughter,"
"Well you'll be safe now," Courtney promised as she grabbed her shotgun just in case of any of the Lycans were to come out.
"Those monsters... they took my wife and my two sons," The man's voice held loads of main and guilt.
"Don't blame yourself, the Lycans came at such an unsuspecting time. I lost my father the first day of the attack,"
The man looked up at Courtney, "Isn't that Darron's coat and wedding ring?"
"Yes it is, I took the ring for something to remember him by and the jacket since it was winter and I didn't have my own,"
"Wow.. I can't believe that man didn't make it," The father muttered.
"Me too but like I said they came so unexpectedly that it was hard to save anyone, I almost died too. I only lost two of my fingers though,"
"I'm glad you didn't or else I don't think my daughter and I would be moving as we are now,"
"Hey, it's really no problem plus there's Luiza's house right there," Courtney remarked.
She knocked on the door, "Hey! I'm back with two survivors," She called out. Her voiced wasn't a whisper nor a complete yell, just loud enough for the other survivors to hear.
