They were flowers...

The things that were growing out of him were flowers. They covered small portions of his body easy to cover, he was grateful of that. But they hurt, spilling blood when they grew and when Jef tried pulling the flowers out it felt like he was pulling out an organ. Slowly corrupting his body mostly his right eye, arm, and an ankle.

Jef was trying all he could to stop any of his friends from knowing this dreaded secret. He knew that they wouldn't judge him and would do all they could to help him, but that's exactly what he didn't want them to do. They already had problems on their hands why deal with his when he could do it on his own, I mean it was his problem after all. Jef was isolating himself as well, Good noticing this in an instant, trying to coax him out of it with little prevail. Honestly he looked like a mess now, barely getting any sleep with little to no food and water. He was too scared to let anyone know and wanted to get away from the monster.

But Good was stubborn as well and wasn't gonna deal with this shit.

He knocked on the door waiting for an answer. There was none so Good kicked open the door his patience gone.

" Why the fuck are you keeping yourself from me and the others?"

" We're worried for you and look you're barely keeping yourself alive what the hell!"

Jef was huddled in the corner, the flowers had gotten to his right eye blinding that one and they were peaking out of his sleeve revealing themselves even more. Finally he turned to Good with a blank stare from his one eye. Good could only gasp at the sight. Blood was trickling down his face and you could see his flesh in between the gapes of the flowers. The flowers, for all their pain, were in fact quite beautiful as well. They were oleanders with a mix of other unidentifiable flowers. It almost looked as if someone tore out a section of his face and shoved a bouquet in there, but they looked a lot more elegantly grown there.

" What happened?! "

Good didn't get a response as Jef had lunged on him, pulling his into a hug he desperately needed. He hadn't meant to make everyone upset he didn't mean to get in this situation at all! His sobs filled the room as Jef desperately told Good how sorry he was. Rubbing circles on Jef's back he asked

" How the fuck did this happen?"

...

" It's ok if you don't want to talk about it."

" No, you deserve to know to know the truth even if you don't believe me."

Jef then presumed to tell Good about his dreams and the creature while Good sat there quietly, taking everything in. It did indeed sound like nonsense but he pitied Jef  knowing that he be left alone to be with the thing of his nightmares if he told him it was all just his imagination. After the quite weird somewhat therapy session Good helped Jef get cleaned up showing even more of where the flowers were spreading, worrying Good.

Getting Jef to go back to normal life was a struggle. He never wanted to go out, which was understandable, but Good had to force him to eat sometimes and when sleep was needed Good was always there to help Jef when he couldn't fall asleep. Good felt proud of himself thinking of all the times Jef had helped him out, now it was time that he helped Jef.
