Sage sat next to Peter on the plane. The two hardly left each other's sides at this point, both of them were terrified of what was coming.
They were going to the Avenger's tower on Tony Stark's private plane which meant that it was luxury to the nines. It was a short flight thankfully and an AI named Friday was controlling the plane. Occasionally they would hit a patch of turbulence and Tony would call out, "Hey Friday!" Sage could only assume that it was an AI. Every time the plane experienced rough air, Peter would squeeze Sage's hand until it stopped. She wondered why, wouldn't his spider sense tell him if the plane was going to crash?
Pepper and Tony were sitting on the other end of the plane, deep in conversation. Sage tried to listen but to no avail. Peter on the other hand was privy to their conversation due to his heightened senses. They seemed to be arguing about what was the best thing for Sage.
When the plane finally landed on the tower's built in landing strip, it was nearly midnight. King, Sage's Doberman, was asleep by her feet, clearly unbothered by the turbulence. Sage had fallen asleep with her head resting gently on Peter's shoulder, their hand still clasped. Peter tried his best not to move as he looked out her window at the tower. He'd been there before with Mr. Stark but this felt different, he was going to be living there. Suddenly he missed Aunt May and his old apartment in Queens.
The landing gear deployed and connected with the strip seamlessly. Sage didn't wake up until the plane stopped completely and Pepper stood up. Tony followed her and stopped to make sure that Sage, King and Peter got off the plane okay. King was on a leash despite him following Sage everywhere regardless. Happy was the last one off the plane.
Peter and Sage didn't have much with them, just their overnight bags from their road trip. Neither of them had gone home to pack. Aunt May would be visiting soon and she would bring Peter's things while Sage's adoptive mother would bring her stuff the next day.
Sage turned her sleepy gaze up to the looming tower in front of her. It seemed to block out the stars and reflect the light of the moon. She felt a hand on her back urging her inside, it was Tony. She leaned into his shoulder and he wrapped her in a side hug as he kissed her temple.
He could hardly believe that he had his daughter back. It was overwhelming and amazing in all the best and worst ways. He was excited and terrified and filled with love and fear.
Tony told Pepper and Happy that he would show the kids to their rooms then meet up with them. He put his other hand on Peter's shoulder as he guided them through a set of double doors. They went down a hall and into an elevator, up two floors into another hallway. Everything seemed to blur together to the tired kids. Tony stopped in front of a metal door where he said, "I had this made up for you."
He opened the door and took Sage's bag, gesturing for her to head in.
The room had a vaulted ceiling, white walls, a queen sized bed with a white comforter, a sizable balcony as well as a wooden reading nook tucked away in the vaulted ceiling. The room was a split level room with wooden floors There was a birch ladder providing access to the reading nook and vines were draped over it. Plants littered the balcony, the nightstand, the dresser and the desk. For a place she'd never been, it certainly felt like home. She turned around to give her father a hug which he graciously accepted before she crawled under the plush covers and allowed herself to fall asleep.

Tony shut the door and guided Peter to a nearby room. The door was similar to Sage's but that was where the similarities ended. The inside looked remarkably similar to his room in Queens, with dark wooden floors, an oak desk, and a bunk bed with blue patterned sheets. "I wasn't sure what to do for your room," Mr. Stark said. "So I just redid your room from Queens the best I could, I mean this room is quite a bit bigger. We can change it-"
Peter turned to Tony, "No, it's great. Thank you."
Tony nodded and closed the door behind him, leaving Peter standing in the middle of the room alone as homesickness invaded his mind.
