Jason invited himself into Tim's room despite the fact that the latter was glaring at him in warning.
His stormy eyes flashed in mischief as he saw the breakfast trolley and filled up a plate.
"Breakfast in bed for you two and that also with such delectable items? Unfair..."
Jason was rather fond of anything with sugar in it, especially pastries and cream rolls, so it was no wonder that he couldn't resist upon seeing the trolley set with samples of Alfred's awesome baking skills.
"Good morning to you too, Jason," Dora remarked seeing that he was so absorbed in selecting the desserts that he hadn't acknowledged her presence.
He looked at her, feigning surprise, "oh Dora, I definitely had no idea you were here too."
Tim shot him a glare, "you've gotten what you wanted, right? Now step out."
He completely ignored him, taking another cream roll from the dish, "anyways, when did you come here?"
"Last night," she replied nonchalantly, hand gently fastening onto Tim's wrist as she pulled him down to sit beside her.
She could sense the unease vibrating off him and knew that it was due to Jason's presence however, she wasn't yet aware of what had happened early that morning.
Jay, on the other hand, was having the time of his life both due to the assortment of desserts he had picked up from the trolley and well as from observing the flicker of suppressed rage and embarrassment on Tim's face, "Timmy, I'm your brother, aren't I? Why are you acting like a giant crocodile is sitting here instead of me?"
Tim scowled, making no attempt to mask his irritation, "you're no different than a crocodile at times."
"At least I don't throw you around like a Frisbee," Jason joked and though it made Dora smile on recalling that incident, Tim's expression hadn't changed.
His snapping reply was immediate, "I would rather be thrown around like a Frisbee than bear your presence at the moment."
"Tim, come on," Dora squeezed his hand, "what happened? Are you two arguing with each other again?"
"No," both of them spoke in unison after which Jay laughed again.
Tim couldn't fathom why Jason hadn't yet said anything humiliating to him and Dora. It was unlike him to keep his mouth shut for long and he couldn't help but feel even more uneasy at that fact.
"By the way, Dora, you didn't hear anyone screeching in the room early this morning, did you?" At last Jason spoke up and Tim rolled his eyes, realizing that his suspicions had been proven correct.
"No, why?" Surprise flitted across her features.
Tim stood up and pulled Jason up to his feet, "alright now, you're getting out right this instant."
Dora realized immediately that something must have happened that Jay was hinting at but Tim didn't want her to find out. "But what happened?"
"Nothing!"
Tim's face had flushed red as he turned to face her. She looked back at him with an eyebrow raised in speculation.
"Dora please, you don't want to know."
Jason had sat back on the couch, stretching his legs out relaxedly, "yeah definitely. Nothing happened, Dora."
Her eyes shifted from Tim to Jason, "you do know that both of you are making me very suspicious."
"Yup, I know very well," stormy eyes flickered in mischief again.
But Dora took pity on Tim and stood up, "alright Jason, get out."
