Loki exhaled dramatically.
"I apologize, that was an accidental mishap. Are you alright?"
He crouched down to get on a better level with the figure.
The woman sprawled out on the ground had a jacket similar to Quill's—more fitted, black pants and an interesting hair color that you could've called red, orange, ginger or brown.
"I– Am I not dead?"
Loki let out a humourous scoff, "No, I don't think so."
The girl wiped her teary face.
"I'm sorry."
Loki extended his hand out to her, "It's all alright, we all lost greatly today."
She grabbed it, and Loki hauled her up to her feet.
"I'm Wanda."
"Loki."
She jumped back two feet in surprise, "Tony told me about you."
He grinned big and wide.
"I assure you, Lady Wanda, I am not a mad megalomaniac no more."
She couldn't help but allow a small smile to cross her face, "Yeah... It's not like I care." She crossed her arms, but it really looked like she was hugging her side.
A poor attempt at comforting herself.
Loki turned around to face the direction he had come from and Wanda joined his side.
"Do you happen to know a T'Challa, Quill or Sam?" Loki asked her casually while throwing his arm over her shoulder.
She nearly crumpled to her knees at the weight of his arms, but Loki pulled her shoulders into his side instead; to prevent her from joining the ground again.
"I do."
"I'll lead you to your friends, then."
.
.
."Wanda!"
"Hi," she breathed out.
The witch took her place in between T'Challa and Sam.
The dark haired god glanced over at the ever changing colorful sky.
"We should carry on now, continuing to move increases our chances of finding any others and getting out of here."
Sam stood up immediately and stretched his arms. "It's sure be great to get out of here." (Emphasis on the word, "great.")
T'Challa did the same and helped Wanda up too.
Quill, on the other side was only opening his eyes.
"Huh?"
"We're leaving."
"Oh, alright. Good."
"Onward!"
.
.
.They traveled non-stop until they saw the concerning trail.
Consisting of thick red liquid...
That was still fresh.
"Whoever lost this blood... must still be close by."
Wanda, who was resting her head on Sam's shoulder, picked it up and pointed at something in the distance.
"I think– No, I could be wrong."
She took three steps forward.
"Who do you think it is?"
"There's only one way to find out."
