"Wait, wait, wait." Rocket put his small paws in the air. "Explain it one more time, simplified version."

Loki shook his head at the rabbit but graciously agreed to repeat it.

The heroes had gathered around after Loki's practice time and now Rocket over here was giving Loki the strongest feeling of disbelief.

They've gone over this already!

"I will use my magic to travel to each location. Then the Time Stone will allow me to skip through history so I can obtain the stones when it was the easiest to."

Steve nodded along, "We'll group up to go to the different locations. Everyone's apart of this. We're doing this together. One group's going to Asgard, and another to 2015 Earth for the Mind Stone."

"We've already obtained the Time Stone."

"To space. Xandar and Knowhere," Nebula says.

"Lastly someone's got to head over back to the invasion to get the Space Stone."

Natasha stepped forward, placing herself between Steve and Loki.

"Wait, guys... We can save us some time. You realize one point in time, the Tesseract and Scepter were in the same building once upon a time?"

Loki inhaled sharply, how could they have not thought of that?

"Change of plans," he begins to say.

"I can, um..."

He thinks for a moment. What would be the best time to take the the gems where no one would notice if they were gone for a brief while?

"I'll go when I was with Barton and the brainwashed agents at the base. They won't notice a "clone" and once we return it it'll be as if nothing happened."

Strange leaned to the side. "Just as we want it to be," he shook a finger at Loki. "No messing up the timelines, it's messy and hard to fix."

Loki briskly nodded, amused.

Thor and Loki to Knowhere. To the Collector, the Grandmaster's brother; to obtain the Reality Stone.

Quill, Nebula, Rocket, and Loki to Xandar to steal the Power Stone from the Nova Corps' protection. Right under their noses.

Steve, Clint, and Loki to take the Mind and Space Stones from Loki's old hideout.

And lastly, the Soul Stone, to Vormir. Which Bucky and Sam had unknowingly offered to go to with Loki but Groot butted in, talking about some nonsense responsibility. He threatened to hurt someone if Rocket didn't allow him to go.

Groot was officially maturing and becoming the self sacrificing type again.

So, that was that.

"We ready?"

"All prepared."

Loki's heart hammered into his chest.

"Let's do this."

The first team was only Thor and Loki, who were about to set out for a short adventure.

The smile Thor gave him only told him so much more than words could say.

I've missed this.

Up on the platform, Loki grabbed Thor's wrist.

And they disappeared.
