~Flashback~

Alexandria Riddle softly caressed her daughter's cheek watching as her chest rose and fell with her breath. Once Anastasia was asleep, Alexandria walked down the long hallway to join her parents in the library.

Clarisse and Edmund Emerys were in the library of the Emerys Manor in Wales. This Manor was by far the biggest of all of their Manors. Clarisse and Edmund Emerys lived there along with their daughter Alexandria, and their granddaughter, Anastasia. At one point, their son-in-law Tom lived at the Manor with them. However, everyone believed that he had died just after his daughter was born.

The door to the library slowly cracked open as Dria walked into the room.

"Good evening, darling!" Clarisse said as Dria walked toward her mother.

"Good evening, mother," Dria said, "Good evening, father."

Alexandria sat in the chair across from her parents by the library's fireplace. After sitting there for a while reading the latest news in The Daily Prophet, they heard a loud bang at the front door. Edmund Emerys rose from his seat to go and see what the noise came from. After walking out of the east wing, he walked towards the front doors to be greeted by a group of Aurors. He had one of his house-elves open the door.

"M-May I help you?" The small elf said to the group.

"We wish to speak with a member of the Emerys Family, please." One said.

Edmund Emerys slowly walked behind the house-elf, telling him away.

"How may I help you on this fine evening?" He said snobbishly.

"We wish to speak with your daughter, Sir."

"Oh, you will do no such thing." He said, knowing exactly what they wanted from her.

Ever since the Ministry released that Tom Riddle, a picture-perfect Slytherin student was the dark lord, the ministry had been trying to get to Alexandria to get information.

"I'm afraid we must insist." One said, taking a step closer to the big doors.

The guards of the Emerys Manor slowly crept up behind Edmund Emerys. These guards had been trained for situations such as these. The Emerys Family was usually very compliant with the Ministry, but not tonight...

The guards began throwing spell after spell at the group of Aurors. One guard then took the elder Mr Emerys inside for protection. More guards began running to the front of the home to assist. At the same time, a smaller group of guards went to find Alexandria and Clarisse.

Things were not looking good for the Emerys Family. Bunches of dead bodies of Aurors and faithful guards filled the foyer. Practically causing Alexandria and Clarisse to faint. A couple of remaining guards ushered the family to a safe room. But unexpectedly, Edmund Emerys was hit with a bright green light causing him to fall, looking lifeless.

Clarisse Emerys was beside herself. All she could do was sob. But, there was no time for tears. More and more guards were dying at the hands of the ruthless Aurors.

It was sick...

Then it went silent. The Aurors had killed every guard in the past hour.

This meant that Clarisse Emerys and Alexandria Riddle were on their own.

The remaining Aurors had all made their way into the house.

Dria led her distraught mother down a secret corridor. This corridor led to the west wing, where five-year-old Anastasia was currently sleeping.

Unfortunately, this corridor was no more a secret. Aurors began to chase them through the tiny hallway. Shooting spells at them over and over! Dria thought this night could not get any worse, but that is until her mother was also hit with a flashing green light.

Clarisse screamed...

Just before her lifeless body fell to the ground...

Alexandria was now crying too. But she had to push away her tears and get Anastasia.

Finally, the corridor ended with one hallway to Dria's right and one to her left. Anastasia's room was to the right. But, being the smart woman she was, Dria broke a vase sitting on a table in the hallway to the left. She then quickly and silently began running towards Anastasia's room. The Aurors had heard the glass shatter, so they, of course, went to the left.

Once Dria had made it to her daughter's room, she heard a loud boom. Dipsy her house-elf had dropped a chandelier on the group of Aurors. This made Dria think that all the Aurors were now gone...

Little did she know she was wrong.

But, before she could unlock the door to Anastasia's room, she was hit with a spell that knocked her to the ground. A man dressed in the Auror uniform uttered the words that made Dria scream...

"Avada Kedavra."
