"Why can't I come with you mama?" Zoey asks.
"Because I have work dearie. But don't you want to spend time in storm chargers, in the back, with Auntie Kelly?" I ask as we drove to storm chargers. My best friend, since I first moved here, Kelly, became an aunt to my daughter and looks after her when I had work.
"Yeah, but I wish I could come with you though mama. But I love Auntie KelKel too." Zoey says with a smile. We soon arrived at storm chargers, and I dropped Zoey off before I drove off to the mountains, which wasn't too far away. I parked my car at the base of the mountain and Ninja Streaked my way up to the top of the mountain and entered the academy I attended classes at.
"Layla." Sensei Hokusai greets with a content smile.
"Hello Sensei Hokusai." I greet back with a smile as I bowed to show my respect before, I got ready for class. As I trained with my classmates, the sky darkens, and lasers were being shot.
"Layla!" Sensei Hokusai says urgently. "Take this Winter Morpher and find Sensei Watanabe. He'll know what you'll have to do next. Now go!" Hokusai pushes Layla towards the entrance of the Academy and she ninja streaks down to her car and drove off. Layla knew where the Wind Academy was, after all, that's where one of her childhood friends lived, after all. As Layla was starting on her journey to the forest where the Wind Academy was, she saw 6 rangers about to be destroyed. Layla decided it was time to step in.
"This is the end of the line for you rangers! Any last words?" The monster asks.
"Yeah, I got one for ya! Hiyah!" Layla shouts as she front flips in front of the 6 rangers and kicks at the monster.
"Who are you pesky human?" The monster questions.
"Let me introduce myself. I'll be the one to defeat you!" Layla says. "Winter Storm, Ranger Form! Ha!" Layla morphs into the White Ninja Storm Ranger.
"Another ranger!?" The monster asks in shock.
"Power of Winter!" Layla says as she posed with her right leg in front of her in a lunge and her hands were on the handles of her katanas, right on left and left on right, which was in an X cross the back of her white spandex. On her chest was a cloud symbol, the visor on her helmet was an oval shape. "Winter Katanas!" Layla took the katanas from their place on her back and charged at the monster.
"W-What?!" The monster tried to block the attack, but to no avail.
"Winter Rapid Slash!" Layla says as she starts to rapidly attack the monster with her twin katanas.
"You'll pay for that!" The monster says angrily.
"Oh really?" Layla questions. "Winter Slash, Final Attack!" Layla did a double slash diagonally starting left up and to the right down. Then she did it again but going from the right down to the left.
"This is not the last you'll see of me!" The monster screams as he blows up. Layla sheaths her katanas and turns around to face the clearly shocked rangers.
"W-Who are you?" The yellow ranger asks first. The six rangers had their visors up before they demorphed. Layla gasps when she sees her childhood friends, Cam, Hunter, and Blake.
"Power down." Layla says and then demorphs.
"Lay?" Cam, Hunter, and Blake question.
"Hey..." The boys hug Layla and they soon take her to Ninja Ops.
"Ah, Layla. It has been a while." Sensei Watanabe says as they entered.
"It sure has been a while, Sensei." Layla says with a smile. They chatted for a while. Cam, Hunter, and Blake caught up with Layla while Tori, Dustin, and Shane got know her.
At around 5pm, they went their separate ways. Layla went and picked up Zoey from Kelly while thanking her again for looking after her while she worked.
"Did you have fun with Kelly?" Layla asked as she buckled Zoey in, in her booster seat and got into the driver's seat.
"Yeah! Auntie KelKel helped me learn colors and-and ani-animals too! It was fun mama!" Zoey exclaims making Layla chuckle at how excited Zoey is. They soon arrived home and Layla started making dinner while Zoey drew at the kitchen table. After dinner, Layla got Zoey ready for bed. "I don't wanna go to bed. I wanna play with mama." Zoey pouts.
"We can play tomorrow, Zoey, it's bedtime now. Want mommy to read you a story?"
"Mhm." Layla then began to tell Zoey her favorite bedtime story, how she met Karl.
"Good night, Zoey." Layla whispers to Zoey before planting a kiss on her daughter's forehead and left the bedroom while turning off the lights.
