How's everyone doing?
I've been doing a lot of things for the university so I wasn't able to write much. But hey, I'm back!

Just want to check on all of you, how is this Saturday treating you?

I love you all, hope you enjoy the chapter.❤️

I knew that Louis was probably right, and that was what scared me the most.
It was impossible to know if after this we could still be together.
If we could make it work in the distance.

That's why I let him go for the morning, I would give both of us time and not run after him immediately.

I was tired from not sleeping the night before, for having one of the best nights yet with Louis.
But yet I still had plenty to do before leaving. And I needed to have it done, even if I didn't actually want to.

I didn't want to leave New York. Not yet, but It's inevitable that everything that's good in life comes to an end.

Twenty four hours left in New York.
Twenty four hours to get my shit together.
Twenty four hours left to spend with Louis before leaving.

So I finished my suitcase, leaving only the essential things out, I took a cab to the office to get finished my duties there, ended with a few forms I had to get complete, said goodbye to the whole team that had received me for the past month, and cleaned my stuff off the office, leaving everything like it was before me.
Clean and neat, erasing every trace of myself, but with the hope of coming back eventually.

By now I knew it was lunch time and I had the rest of the day free.

Nineteen hours left in New York.
Nineteen hours to think about what I really want.

I took the decision to walk to 'Louies' to clear up my mind.
But the truth is that I already knew that Louis was the only right decision. He was my everything. I needed to spend these last few hours with him, and then promise him I'll be back.

I entered the shop and it was really crowded, people occupying every table, a long queue next to the cashier, lots of employees walking around with platters and taking orders to every customer. It was hard to see if Louis was there at all.

"You came." - I heard a voice behind me.

I turned around and saw him.

"Lou."

"That's me." - He shrugged in an attempt to sound funny but he only looked sad.

"Babe." - I said, trying to reach for his hand but he pulled back.

"Did you get your shit together?" - He raised an eyebrow.

I frowned and sighed.

"Can you take your lunch break now?" - I asked and he nodded. - "Can we go for a walk?"

"Yeah." - He smiled slightly.

He extended his hand and took my wrist, pulling me out of the shop.

"So..." - I said once we were alone in the street.

"So..." - He said and intertwined our fingers together, making me smile a little.

At least he isn't mad anymore.

"I've been thinking... and I know there's nothing I can do to change this now. I'm leaving in eighteen hours. But, that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy this time together."
