CHAPTER-7 LEVEL FOUR

"Boom!" Both the wolf and Kai blown ten meters away by the explosion, Kai stand using the spear while panting heavily as he look at the opposite site, he is still in not that bad of a condition as he was not hit by the attack directly.

On the other side the wolf is struggling to stand as his whole front right leg is crippled and a long cut extend from it up to hi rear right thigh from which blood was flowing out.

It is important to note that it is an agility type soul beast, even when it was in midair it twisted his body just at the right time and able avoid his death which was given if Kai's attack had hit its head.

Kai is looking at the wolf while it is also looking at him, it was definitely now worry of Kai as he didn't expected that the prey it is aiming is so strong.

This time the one to take action first is Kai, he just paused for a moment to catch his breath then charge toward the wolf. On the other side wolf didn't just wait for its end, it wide opened its mouth as the black energy start converging in its mouth.

The seen seems to be have just reverse from the last collision where one was charging on the opponent while other was preparing for a stronger move, but Kai is not so stupid to repeat his opponent's mistake.

He suddenly changed his direction in midway and fly up, the wolf was startled as it know that it can't shoot above his own head so bearing the pain it still jump backward and shot the attack at the higher angle. But at this moment Kai stopped and folded his wings inward which caused him to free fall and avoided the attack.

Just when he was about to hit the ground Kai unfold his wings as his momentum slowdown, then a green halo released behind him and his speed shore and he again charged at the wolf.

The wolf again shone with black light to raise its defenses, it also turn right side to avoid head on collision. Kai just simply hit it with his spear which didn't cause it any damage and it was ready to take the chance to bite Kai but as soon as it open its mouth Kai stuffed a blue energy ball that he was charging in his left hand then he retreat toward the wolf's back at very quick pace.

"Boom!" Another explosion occur which was much smaller compare to the one before but this explosion occurred in the wolf mouth which broke its both jaws, next moment a silver spear was pierced through its neck which made body tremble with pain and collapse.

Kai pulled the spear out and has a big sigh "this flow really was tough luckily it was also as stupid" its true, the reason Kai win this battle without any casualty is largely because of the wolf's wrong moves and its stubborn behavior.

Kai placed his left palm on the spear's bloody area as a spinning water vortex formed and cleaned the blood, then he put it away in his storage tool then he grab the corpse and also put it inside his storage belt.

Kai didn't waste any more time and went out of the forest at a quicker pace, the sun has almost set and he can't wait to be attacked by more soul beast in dark.
When he reach the academy the mission counter was about to close, he hardly make it in time and get seven points for his mission.

"Teacher, can I take the higher level request if I have materials that are in those request" Kai.

"You can if only you already have those materials" Ben.

Kai nodded and took a level three task page on which is written the request of a mid tier dark type beast corpse with at least thirty years cultivation. This request has a reward of twelve points.

"You have a dark type beast corpse? But you know it have to be at least thirty years old and of mid tier soul beast" Ben.

"I have even better than that" Kai said as he take out the shadow wolf's corpse out of his storage belt. Ben is stunned when he so the size as a soul master himself he knows about shadow wolf and its characteristic.

"Did you killed it" Ben asked doubtfully.
"Yes, I was just lucky" Kai.

Ben think for a moment "wait here for a while" he said and head toward a building behind the academy, according to the academy map this building is for high level teachers of the academy.

After a while Ben came back along with an old lady who looks to be in her late fifties she has dark brown hairs but her pupils are unique green color and has a gentle complexion.

"Miss Ema please" Ben say as he saw her the corpse.

The woman name Ema, examine the corpse then look at Kai and frow "Kid what's your name" Ema asked.

Kai bow toward her and reply "Kai Shiva".
"Did you kill this soul beast" Ema.

Kai nodded "I went in the forest for another mission, it attacked me on my way back".

"Miss Ema, can we count it as the completion of the request" Ben asked.

Ema chuckle "completion? He has done better than that, the request is about just any mid tier dark type soul beast but shadow can be say to be one of the best in mid tier and not only the species is better even the cultivation is higher then asked".

"Raised the level of this mission to level four and give him sixteen points for this corpse" Ema said as she took a glance at Kai and leaved.
