It was a dark night. Cricket had just proven that the petition was a fraud, and the mayor decided that the Green's house would stay intact.
Chip was mad, and lost control. His mind was set on getting rid of Cricket one way or another... Even if it meant doing it the harsh way.
He had the spinning, sharp helicopter blades and a target. He knew exactly what to do. He started approaching Cricket.
But even when Cricket saw it, all he could do was stand and watch. But why?
He was so terrified by the fact that he either had to jump from a roof almost fifty feet above ground level or take the defeat and be sliced by the blades of Chip's copter that his stomach dropped and his body froze.
He was paralyzed in fear.
Nancy, Bill, Alice, Tilly, and Gloria watched from below. They were just as frantic.
"What is he doing just standing there?!?!" Bill exclaimed.
"He must be frozen in terror!" Tilly claimed. She always was pretty intelligent for her age.
Nancy was still confident, though. "C'mon guys! You don't actually think Chip would-"
But she never finished her sentence.
What was thought as the unbelievable had happened before their eyes.
The once cobblestone grey roof was now a deep red.
And every one in Big City was watching.
Maria Media and her news crew were recording it live the entire time.
Tears flooded the Green's eyes. Even Gloria couldn't hold it in.
"CRICKET!!!" they all shouted at once.
