Moving In

The next day, Gloria drove up to the Green's house in her turquoise minivan with all of her stuff packed in the vehicle. The Greens stepped outside to see what was going on.

"H-hey, guys...I know you're already going through so much, but..can I stay here for a while?" Gloria asked.

"Oh, right! You lost your job...couldn't pay the rent, huh?" Bill asked.

"Yep," she responded. "So....can I...?"

"Of course! We understand!" Nancy answered.

"The Greens are ALWAYS happy to lend a hand to a friend in need!" Tilly happily said.

"Wow, thank you so much, guys!" Gloria gratefully said. "I really needed this..."

"Eh, no problem. Just don't destroy anything," Alice replied.

Gloria laughed a little. "I won't, I promise!"

So Gloria stayed in their basement, and made a hobby out of painting. She was even able to learn some new techniques by watching some YouTube videos and Tiktoks (or DingDongs, as they call them) and was able to make a little money that she happily gave to the Greens for their hospitality and support.

"Wow, you really don't need to-" Bill started, but Gloria stopped him.

"Don't think much of it. It's the least I could do to pay you back for all your help," Gloria said.

This is pretty much how it always went when she paid them with her art money.

She was just glad her art career was finally going somewhere, even if it wasn't much.

Soon, she decided to go see Chip herself. She was surprisingly calm with her former boss (see Chipocalypse Now for more info). She engaged in meaningful conversations with him, such as one about her art selling, and they were actually getting along pretty well!

Tilly and her had a lot of fun together as well. They would paint their nails, do their hair, and watch YouTube videos together. Yep, they had many good times together.

But sometimes, they had discussions that weren't so smiley and bright.

Sometimes Tilly would vent to Gloria about her stress with the whole Cricket ordeal, and how she still hated Chip more than anything else. Gloria was always there for her, though. She was always open to talk to. She gave Tilly good advice, and if Tilly got really down in the dumps, Gloria would try to cheer her up; whether it was with a funny video, something fun they could do together, or just telling her something that could make her feel better, she was always there to help and support her.

Gloria hadn't thought it when she first decided to ask to move in with the Greens, but she was really having a good time with them. She wasn't alone anymore, and the Greens were so nice!

They felt like a family to her, and she was actually content with her life right now.
