I'd pretended that I was already fainted when she removed the cloth and went to Shrey.
After following the same process with Shrey , both the people left, leaving I and Shrey behind.
Soon after 2 to 3 minutes I called out "Shrey".
"Hey cool that you too didn't smell it." Shrey said.
"Thank God that you got enough brain , Shrey." I said and Shrey pouted.
"Let's think of a way to get out of here now." I said.
"Hmm."
I'd started writhing just to try if it works. I'd already seen people jiggling on the chair in movies when kidnapped in order to get out of the horrific situation.
"It is never going to work." Shrey said. "It only happens in movies and novels."
"Life is a movie Shrey." I said and removed the ropes from my arms and then from my legs. I freed myself. Fidgeting really worked. I felt proud that I'd watched enough crime movies.
"How did you do this?" Shrey was still amazed. I went to him and untied his ropes too. He stood up and hugged me.
We were not sure about how to get out of that cellar room. There were two doors. The kidnappers had used one of them to enter and the other one was too old and both were locked . The old door was in the back left corner of the room.
"Shrey, I think that door will directly lead us to the road. I can slightly hear the horns of vehicles." I whispered to Shrey.
"Yeah, I can hear too. So , should we try cracking that door?" He asked.
"We have no better option. We'll try being low." I said and Shrey nodded.
We went to the door and pushed it a several times. When pushing didn't work, we pulled it towards our direction. After pulling the old wooden door twice, it made a little noise and cracked open.
"I think that the luck's with us today." Shrey said. He was double-amazed this time. Even it was tough for me too to believe that we were almost out of that condition.
We ran out of the room together. We saw a patio outside the room. The patio was a little familiar but I ignored it entirely and kept running. I didn't even look back at the place where we kidnapped.
We kept running till we were finally on the thoroughfare. I stopped.
"We can't stop, Ira." said Shrey.
"It's difficult to breathe." I said while gasping for breath.
"We'll take a taxi from here then."
"I need water. Please Shrey. I need water." I said, I did not know where will he bring water from but I was in an extreme need of drinking water.
"Irr, please try controlling till we get a taxi." Shrey said and came near to me to give me support. I was feeling too ill and my head was also spinning. I'd got a severe headache.
"Shrey I cannot stand more." I told him. He held my right arm with one of his hands and extended out the other on the shoulder.
"Madam, you need help?" We heard an unfamiliar voice from the roadside.
A man in his early thirty's was sitting inside a tata nano.
"Yes, please uncle take us to a market place. " I said. I was still panting.
"Market place or hospital?" The man said.
"Market place." Shrey said. "It'll help us if we'll be in a crowded place."
The man agreed though he was very confused. We sat inside his small car as if we were hitchhikers.
"Uncle, can I please use your phone."Shrey said.
"Yes." The man replied.
"Call Zain." I told Shrey and he nodded. I told him the phone number. He rang to Zain twice but it was unreachable.
"Ayaan." I dictated Ayaan's phone number to him. He called Ayaan.
"Hello, Ayaan? I'm Shrey." Shrey spoke out .
"Speaker." I said. He put the phone on speaker.
"Shrey, where is Ira?" I heard from Ayaan from his end. He sounded worried.
"I'm here, with Shrey." I said. My eyes got teary.
"How're you ? And where are you people?" Ayaan said.
"I'll tell you everything, please first take me home." I said. I never noticed that I had started crying badly till now. I looked at the time on uncle's phone. It read 4:45 pm. "And don't let Anwar go to the Central park."
"You'll be alright , Ira. Nobody's going to the park. Where are you?" Ayaan asked.
"Where are we heading to , uncle?" Shrey asked.
"We'll be near e-box cinemas in 5 minutes." Uncle said.
"We'll be-" I was saying only but I was interrupted by Ayaan.
"Okay, be inside the cafe, which is just beside the building." Ayaan said. He hung up.
