"Come on, tell me." Big Red whined, lying next to Ashlyn in bed. "EJ's gone, Hazel's asleep."

"I have a headache, can we be quiet for a little?" She asked, hugging him. "I miss just hugging without having to worry about Hazel."

"Okay." He smiled slightly and put his arms around her. "I do too."

"Thank you." She smiled, lying her head on his chest. "I love you baby."

"I love you too." He ran his fingers through her hair, messing it up, kissing the top of her head. "Now's probably a good time to grab some sleep."

"Mhm." She mumbled. "But the call was an audition. Big opportunity." She said groggily.

"What was it?" He asked. She sat up and sighed.

"It would be a big deal, though. Too complicated. We have a daughter now."

"Sweetie, tell me."

"It's a national tour. Huge, amazing opportunity, it's just a big decision, if I even could be casted." She sighed.

"But that's amazing!" He hugged, pulling her back down and into a hug. "Don't stress about it, you might as well try out."

"That's true." She nodded.

"Yeah, now let's sleep. We probably won't have much time to, Hazel'll wake up soon."

"Night darling." She laid against him, straining her neck to kiss his cheek, but only managing to kiss his neck gently.

"Night."

"I can't wait until she can sleep through the night." Ashlyn said, picking up Hazel and sitting back down with her. "It's only been a few days and this is getting old."

"I know." Big Red mumbled, shoving his face into his pillow. She giggled.

"I must be so sleep deprived to find that funny." She yawned.

"Little bit." He reached over and held her hand. She smiled.

"Go back to sleep."

"Nope."

"Why not?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Because then you're just aggravated, alone, and trying to be quiet for me. We might as well both be up."

"Oh, thanks... but you really can sleep."

"Just because I'm trying not to doesn't mean I won't." He smiled, propping his head up and facing her.

"You're tired." She pecked his forehead.

"So are you." He fidgeted with her hair, making her smile, which made him grin. He scooted closer to her and closed his eyes.

"Hmm... you know, baby, if you don't sleep now then we'll both be really tired in the daytime and one of us will have to watch Hazel, so how about we trade! I watch her now, you watch her later." She offered, playing with his hair in a similar way he did with hers.

"Fine. Only 'cause I want you to get some sleep."

"And because you're tired." She whispered, then smiled and kissed his forehead.

"Hey honey?" Ashlyn mumbled, resulting in Big Red coming in the room with Hazel. It was around noon, and Ashlyn was trying to take a nap. She couldn't sleep, and laid on her back looking at the ceiling instead.

"Yeah?"

"Can we talk?"

"Mhm, of course." He sat by her. "What's up?" He asked, smiling at Hazel before turning his attention to her.
