Chapter Three:

When I stepped in two guards handcuffed me and sat me down in a chair.

"So, you agreed. I'm glad,
someone of your talent won't go unpaid."
Shoto said, calling off the guards.

They all stepped out leaving the two of us alone.

He rested his head on his hands,
leaning in to look at me.

"Why am I handcuffed may I ask,"
I said, slightly irritated.

His smile turned to a smirk.

"Just being cautious,
wouldn't want your quirk to be used against me."
He explained, I struggled and crossed my legs.

"You'd turn me into ashes or a popsicle
before I could try anything,"
Pausing and looking him dead in the eyes.

"Your money would easily cover it under the name of justice."
I threatened him with my eyes.

He stood up from his high seat and walked down to me,
looking at me like some pet.

"I'm glad I picked you,
you'll be fun, that's for sure."
He said, moving his hand along my chin to gaze into my eyes.

"Sorry your Majesty,
but if you try anything you'll see what it's like to wish you were dead."
I threatened, he chuckled.

"Now, now, sweetheart.
Why would I try anything?"
He asked innocently.

"Rich kids like you have nothing to do with their power
other than to use others for entertainment,
some ways more sickening than others.
Given your lustful aura I doubt your innocent cover will hold."
I told him, he moved closer.

"Your words not mine sweetheart."
He said back, I rolled my eyes.

"But I must say,
you are quite the handsome one."
He said, his eyes of mischief.

"I bet you say that to everyone you hire,"
I said back harshly.

"I don't fall for just anyone,"
Shoto said, I slipped out of the handcuffs without him noticing.

"I'm flattered but uninterested."
I coldly explained.

He leaned in closer,
I kept my emotionless state.

"Maybe a kiss will change your mind."
He offered, I pinned him to the ground.

Him unable to move, I didn't bother using my quirk.

"Is the test over, Shoto Todoroki?"
I asked him, he chuckled.

"You're observant, no one knew about the hidden cameras."
He noted, I let him go.

"You're hired,"
He finished.

"Tell Kaminari and Sero I said hey,"
Shoto looked astonished.

I knew about the cameras since I walked in,
from when me and Tokoyami talked it was obvious Shoto had more UA allies.

Momo's scandal a while ago was bribery similar to Shoto's,
but Shoto knew what he was doing better than she did.

Denki and Sero would stay quiet about Shoto's activity relating to villainous acts,
therefore they'd be an obvious choice.

I walked out of the room,
Tokoyami pulling me over
to where Denki and Sero were to talk.

"How'd you know about all that?"
Sero asked, I explained it all.

"You're more than qualified for the job,"
Kaminari pointed out.

"One more thing,
Shoto offered you a place to stay here in the contract.
Do you want it?"
Tokoyami asked me, I shook my head.

"My place is far enough away from the media and I don't want to rely on Shoto."
I finished, I heard a familiar chuckle.

"So harsh, did your ex not treat you well?"
Shoto asked, I clenched my fist.

"Shut up."
The others stood back,
I guessed no one really stood up to Shoto.

One of the past top heroes was my ex,
when I caught them cheating I gave up on hero society all together.
I had trusted them wholeheartedly.
Now I can't trust anyone but Shigaraki, Dabi, Keigo, and myself.

"I can treat you better than they ever did,"
Shoto said, I glared.

"I told you to shut up."
I ordered.

"You're so strong and your quirk is impressive,
yet you won't allow yourself to love anymore."
He said, feeling bad.

I tried to walk out of the room,
He froze the door shut.

He pulled me closer to him,
pushing back my hair.

He kissed my forehead,
I felt a tear leave my eye as my ex's memory came to mind.

Kaminari's last thread snapped.

He pushed Shoto away,
hugging me.

None of them knew me well or personally.

"I'm sorry.. truly.
You have the job,
I'll never do such a thing again."
Shoto told me, I just got out of the room.

I got back home finally,
it was five in the morning.

I got Shoto and Tokoyami's numbers.

I saw them all up and they saw me flop onto the couch.

"Next time, can you guys find somewhere else to go?"
I asked the two.

The tiredness getting to me as I passed out asleep.
