Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

I sit right up.

"Jeez! You're so jumpy!" Ash giggles.

I look around the room confused. Have I been sent to another jail cell? What happened to Jace? Then I remember, I have been sent to school. I have been given a 'second chance'. I roll my eyes and stretch.

I pick out a black mini skirt with a black long sleeve crop top. It also has a long v-neck. I put my hair into a ponytail because it's so long. When I have my hair down it flows in a brownish-reddish cascade just pasted my waist. My hair does nothing to help my black-brown eyes, but I adore my hair. I slap on some makeup and pull my high-heeled combat boots.

"Wow, you look so good!" Ash gushes.

I shrug, I didn't even try with my outfit. Ash starts to talk about my classes, where they are, who the teachers are, and what to expect. She tells me about who to try to sit next to and who not to. Me, I couldn't give a damn if I got into a fight. I guess there are a lot of those here.

We walk into one of the many cafeterias. I guess the school has three. They also have two pools, three basketball courts. Ash says that's not even the full extent of it, because they still have the middle school and elementary.

"So what do you want, Adeline? They have blueberry muffins." As she grabs two brownies.

I shake my head no. There is no way in hell that I will eat their food. You don't know what they've could've done to it. Just because it's packaged doesn't mean that it's safe. They could have put drugs into it for all I know. I just grab a bottle of water, I'm hoping at least this is safe.

We get to a table and sit down. There are about fifteen other kids at the table, but I just ignore them. Sadly they don't seem to ignore me. While Ash talks to me I nod now and then. I am listing but I can't bring myself to be my old self.

We throw away our trash as the first bell rings. We all have a homeroom, mine is my skills. Ash walks me to my first hour and leaves me. I stand in front of the doorway and walk in slowly. I hesitantly walk up to the teacher.

"Oh! Are you Adeline? I have your notes, I bet you've already learned some of them. But I like to have all of my students prepared for success."

She hands me a packet of notes, and yes I have already learned this, twice. I mean third times a charm, right? I give her a small smile, she beams back at me,

"My name is Ms. St.Clair, if you need anything from me just let me know." she kindly points out my seat to me.

I sit here re-learning about equations. I love these and they're the only thing in math I'm good at. She ends up giving us homework. I get done with it before anybody else.

I remember how to do all types of equations. Linear, multi-step, slope, all of that. They are my favorite part of Algebra. I start to draw, I make a cat that reminds me of one that I used to have. His name was Trouble, he was white and a tan-ish-orange. I also had a dog named Tyson, he was a boxer. He was really annoying at times but adorable.

The bell rings and I hand my paper to Mrs. St.Clair. She raises her eyebrow but takes it.

"Adeline? Do you need help getting to your next class?" she asks.

"No, my roommate will help, but thank you for the offer.",

As I am saying this Ashleigh comes in and says hi to the teacher. We walk one hallway over.

We walk into the classroom and I freeze when I see our teacher, Mr. Potter. What the fuck? He was my ninth-grade bio teacher. I always was bad at his class, I didn't do my work. But I did go on the tests. So I kind of redeemed myself. When he sees me his eyes widen.
